Re: Draft Scenarios - Which Do You Lean Towards?
I picked 2 LB Curry. I think Defence builds Championships.
If the Rams are going to rebuild and cut the the older non-producing players to make room for cap space , I would take Crabtree and cut Holt and Bennett. I think Crabtree is best player in draft.
Andre Smith OT 6-4 , Alabama would be a great guard not OT. Thats why I did not choose 1.

MC gonna do what MC gonna do boys. Michael Crabtree will become the stud receiver to compliment Donnie Avery's speed. And how do i justify this pick? By signing the all purpose Jordon Gross in the offseason. Enough Said end of discussion boys. We would have a great tackle and a great receiver

Re: Draft Scenarios - Which Do You Lean Towards?
If we were to select Smith, where would we play him? It is unlikely Pace will be going anywhere, and Barron will likely stay another year. Would we give Smith a shot at guard? His run blocking is purportedly better than his pass blocking at this point in his development. With #2 overall money, we wouldn't want him riding pine. I like the rest of the names in the "Smith plan." Since you are asking us to choose, I'd say the Smith, with BPA defense a very close second. I surely wouldn't be disappointed if Billy thought there was a defensive guy worth the #2 overall.
I do think the O-line is our biggest need, but Smith may take a bit of time to develop as a left tackle. Eugene Monroe is probably a more polished pass protector, so it all depends on how Spags sees Pace and Barron fitting into our plans for 2009.

I prefer the Jason "Smith plan" to the Andre one.
That being said, I voted "MC Hammer". Crabtree will kill in a WCO.

Re: Draft Scenarios - Which Do You Lean Towards?
If the Rams draft Smith at #2, it would be because they believe that he can ulitmately take over for Pace at LT. That said, as a rookie, there would be a lot of options. He could play either OG spot or RT. As for Barron, I think that at this point he needs to earn a starting spot.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Draft Scenarios - Which Do You Lean Towards?
So it appears that there's more than a few who are planning on us signing Jordan Gross. I just don't think it's going to happen, because he's going to want to break the bank, and sign with a contender, of which we can provide neither at this point. I think we ultimately go o-line with our first pick because of that reasoning.
