Drafts middle-tier QBs. Who do you prefer?

Edited to say: this is a poll, please vote. If you pick other, please reply with who and why

I think for me its Mettenberger. I love his size and how he plays. I think he will be a great fit behind bradford and groomed to be a solid back-up. And even be Plan B if the time ever comes (hope not!)

    Great stuff though:
    -Size
    -Pro-style offense.
    -Played in a tough conference.
    -Played well.

A close second is Aaron murray. He looks solid for this role.
The ACL tear sucks, however, not a big deal in this day and age.

Whoever you pick here has to be perfect to be groomed as a back-up. But also be ready to be plan b if needed in 2015.

Also, I didn't include Carr or Garopolo. I feel those guys will be gone by the time we consider taking a middle-tier QB. 3rd round or later.

i'll count middle tier as rounds 3-5 or a low six..like first 10 picks of 6th round low

i'll go with aaron murray out of these choices

but if there's no restriction on rounds, or offenses

keith price, definitely underrated as a passer, labeled as a running qb...but he throws more than runs

dustin vaughn from west texas A&M, has a canon arm, got the physical tools for a pro qb imo

and just to keep it at 3, chase rettig, good fakes, good pocket presence, good arm, heck...even has a decent set of wheels to get him out of trouble

so i have a few qbs that would be fine with

Baldinger: Aaron Murray to have best NFL career of QB class "Murray played 52 career games as a four-year starter for the Bulldogs, setting SEC records for yardage (13,166) and completions (921). And if it's consistency scouts are looking for, Murray threw for 3,000-plus yards in each of four seasons, the only SEC quarterback ever to do so." I voted for Murray because he excelled in the SEC in a pro style offense

I chose Murray as well. Think he has the most upside of the QB's that fit the type of offense Fisher wants to run.

Yep, I was alluding to anything after Round 3 or after. Usually Round 3-5. Or even later if you think a project QB is a better option than a round 3-5 QB

ah, murray should for sure at least be a 3-5 pick

i see price in there too...though 4-5 really

dustin vaughn would be close to an UFA

chase rettig could be, i think, 4 and up...

Gotta go with AJ McCarron. Murray would be my second, but there's just something to say about a really good game manager(not in a bad way) who is better than he seems surrounded by all that talent and does nothing but win national championships.
    I believe!

I agree, anytime I saw him throw the ball it was some of the ugliest stuff ever caught on film. I'm sure he's got some good game tape but what I saw turns me off on him. Same with Connor Shaw.
