Eagles release Kearse
Just read that Eagles have released Jevon Kearse. I really think the Rams need to bring him into camp if he can be had cheap. He just might have needed time to heal & now he may have something to prove. Could be a great player to rotate in & keep everyone fresh.
What do you guys think?

Re: Eagles release Kearse
How many 30+ defenders do we need to have on this team??
Forget Jevon, bring in some youth."There's only one way to succeed in anything, and that is to give it everything. I do, and I demand that my players do."

Re: Eagles release Kearse
Actually this is very good for us, not in that we should get Kearse, but that it's one more pass rusher on the market, thusly pulling everyone's asking prices down just a little bit. It makes it all the more possible to grab a 2nd tier one in FA so we don't have to reach for Gholston(is he that much of a reach anymore?) if Long is gone.

Re: Eagles release Kearse
I pretty much felt this would be the reaction I would get, but please keep in mind that if he comes in at a bargin price & can pass by the doctors I'm all for this. Remember Little has had his best years in his early thirties, Kearse is 31 I still feel he has a couple of years in the tank. Also when Patrick Kearny was a FA last year alot of people said he was damaged goods & his best years were behind him & all he did was lead the NFC in sacks last year if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Eagles release Kearse
Ofcourse if he comes at a reasonable price and a cleared doctor's note, I would take him. Even if he's not a starter, he'll be a great depth player.

Re: Eagles release Kearse
After all this free agent cutting , their will be enough really good players let loose . that doesn't mean that every time each team let's someone of a great rep. go, we can't go get them , it's silly . we need to grab players through the draft . it's in the late rounds where the hard working teams make the scores , we need to score on both ends of the draft. we don't need more 30+ de's , we need to draft 2 great 22 year olds .

Re: Eagles release Kearse
If he has enough juice in his tank to come in for a couple of plays here and there in a series then I'm all for it. (provided he passes physicals).

Time for an infusion of youth and Kearse definately doesn't fit the bill...
