    Early Comparisons

This is the way I see some of the top draft picks this year, in terms of recent comparisons.
Did not do the QBs, because it's just too hard to compare what that position has in individuals. Too much is not about the physical part of their game.

Still looking the RB, so didn't go there either. Most of the top RBs seem like Emmitt Smith types, with lots of productivity and average size speed.

OT Jake Matthews - Luke Joeckel
OT Greg Robinson - Lane Johnson
G David Yankey - David DeCastro
    OL Cyril Richardson - D J Fluker
DE Kony Ealy - Ziggy Ansah
LB CJ Moseley - Alec Ogletree
CB Darqueze Dennard - Stephon Gilmore
DT RaShede Hageman - Michael Brockers
WR Sammy Watkins - Jeremy Maclin
WR Mike Evans - Demaryius Thomas
WR Marquise Lee - Santonio Holmes
WR L. Adams - Deandre Hopkins
WR K. Benjamin - Justin Hunter
WR A. Robinson - Terrence Willuiams
WR Brandin Cooks - Tavon Austin
DT Louis Nix - Star Luteleilei
DT Timmy Jernigan - Sharif Floyd
    S - H. Clinton -Dix - Eric Reid
    C T. Swanson - Travis Frederick
    DE J. Clowney- Mario Williams
TE Jace Amaro - Tyler Eiffert
LB Ryan Shazier - LaVonte David

Any word on whether he is coming out (he apparently has a year left of eligibility)?

    OL Cyril Richardson - D J Fluker
Does that mean you think that Richardson could play RT, or that Fluker is beter suited to play OG?

LB Ryan Shazier - LaVonte David
That's high praise for Shazier, given the kind of season that David had this year.

OT Jake Matthews - Luke Joeckel: not sure if this is good or bad- as he went down and we didnt hear much about him prior to that

OT Greg Robinson - Lane Johnson: despite KC's success this year-- how did Johnson do? it sounded like he was struggling at RT.

G David Yankey - David DeCastro: I liked DeCastro coming out, he hasnt done anything sice being injured thats remarkable though (unlike the Pounceys,Kyle Long, and Warford who played superbly from Day 1)

OL Cyril Richardson - D J Fluker: I like Cyril lots-- more than Yankey Maybe more Larry Warford-like =)
DE Kony Ealy - Ziggy Ansah
LB CJ Moseley - Alec Ogletree

the beauty of this is that we can reliably say we will get who we want this draft.

And-- if Mike Evans is anything like DThomas-- we best be picking him up ASAP.

You are very out of touch with your WR comparisons. Watkins has power in his game, Maclin does not.
Most off -- Allen Robinson is a big, force. Terrence Williams is a speed, burner.....

I could go on, but your posts on WRs lately have been less than respectable.

    Re: Early Comparisons

Jeremy Macklin can only hope to one day be compared to Sammy Watkins.

The only thing Benjamin and Hunter have in common is height and leaping ability. Other than that, they couldn't be more different.

Marqise Lee is closer to Desean Jackson (without the fanfare) than Santonio Holmes IMO.

    Re: Early Comparisons

Mr Punahou, Lane Johnson had a very productive rookie year, and it was in philly, not kc.
