ESPN vs NFL Network Draft Coverage

Between picks, their is alot of downtime. After awhile minutes can feel like hours. Both ESPN and NFL Network are going to give us gavel to gavel coverage of the NFLs biggest Event. These two networks are going to do their best to fill each waking hour of nonsense, drama, talking heads, analysis, etc. .... Me and my homies are going to enjoy every minute of it.

Now, which network will give us the best coverage and which network are you going to watch.

Hosts: Chris Berman, ESPN vs. Rich Eisen, NFL Network

Other Football Experts: Tom Jackson and Steve Young, ESPN vs. Marshall Faulk and Rod Woodson and Deion Sanders, NFL Network

Insiders: John Clayton, ESPN vs. Adam Schefter, NFL Network

Draft Gurus: Todd McShay and Mel Kiper, ESPN vs. Mike Mayock and Charles Davis, NFL Network

Breaking Down the Tape: Meril Hodge and Ron Jaworski, ESPN vs. Brian Baldinger and Soloman Wilcots, NFL Network

Best On screen interface: Both networks are going to feature an interface that will be displayed during the entire draft.

I guess it really comes down to what an individual is looking for. But I'm going with NFL Network. Adam Schefter is always in sombodies sh**, Rich Eisen is funnier and more professional, it's a toss up with the players panel, The draft gurus on ESPN are way to inconsistent and over rate to many players, Mike Mayock and Charles Davis have played all levels of football and are not afraid to tell you what they think. ex: Mike Mayock since day one has said Rashaard Mendenhall, illinois is the Best running back in this years draft. It's also a toss up on the breaking down tape tandems.

Edge: NFL Network.

Re: ESPN vs NFL Network Draft Coverage

I watched the draft last year at GC's house with his wonderful family and friends and we decided on the NFL network and I for one was quite impressed with them, Marshall was great and am I am kind of tired of the same old crew at ESPN.I would tell everyone give NFL Network a try.

I would much rather sit in a cow pasture than watch the draft on either channel

Re: ESPN vs NFL Network Draft Coverage

ESPN vs. NFL NETWORK

HOST:
ESPN- (CHRIS BERMAN)

EXPERTS:
Although I like Steve Young alot Tom Jackson brings this tandem down.
NFL NETWORK- (MARSHALL FAULK, RON WOODSON, DEION SANDERS)

INSIDERS:
This is a tough one. I like both guys alot. John Clayton seems to spit to much when he's talking so I'll go with....
NFL NETWORK-(ADAM SCHEFTER)

DRAFT GURUS:
Mayock is one of my alltime favorites. Gotta love his enthusiasm!!!
NFL NETWORK-(MIKE MAYOCK AND CHARLES DAVIS)

BREAKING DOWN THE TAPE:
Although I would put Ron Jaworski in the same class as Mike Mayock, Meril Hodge kills this tandem. Soloman Wilcots is awesome.
NFL NETWORK-( BRIAN BENTFINGER AND SOLOMAN WILCOTS)

TOTALS:
ESPN-1
NFL NETWORK-4

I'll be watching the NFL NETWORK after I move my Mother-in-Law!!!

Really? I get upset when I'm forced to miss it. Can't really put my finger on why I like it, but I do.

Rich Eisen, hands down! I've always appreciated self-deprecating humor over self-indulgent arrogance. Advantage: NFL-N

Quote:
Other Football Experts: Tom Jackson and Steve Young, ESPN vs. Marshall Faulk and Rod Woodson and Deion Sanders, NFL Network
Come on, it's Marshall! Advantage: NFL-N

Quote:
Insiders: John Clayton, ESPN vs. Adam Schefter, NFL Network
Hmm, this is a toughy as I'm a fan of both. I'll give it to Schefter as he appears to be more "in the trenches". Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, but at least the appearance is there. Advantage: NFL-N

Quote:
Draft Gurus: Todd McShay and Mel Kiper, ESPN vs. Mike Mayock and Charles Davis, NFL Network
Mayock & Davis in a shutout! McShay & Kiper are empty suits and indicative of a network that celebrated (until recently) Salisbury & continue to bow to their golden calf, Chris Berman. Advantage: NFL-N

Quote:
Breaking Down the Tape: Meril Hodge and Ron Jaworski, ESPN vs. Brian Baldinger and Soloman Wilcots, NFL Network
Nothing against Baldinger & Wilcots, I like 'em. However, this is where ESPN gets it right.........hard to beat Hoge and Jaws on the film. Advantage: ESPN

Quote:

PUSH. They both are busier than a prostitute at a Viagra factory, so I'll call it a tie.

Final Score: NFL-N - 4 ; ESPN - 1
