    Fendi Onobun?

Did we give up on this guy? Or did someone snag him?

Waived on Saturday and apparently did not make our practice squad, so apparently the Rams are done with the project.

    Onobun didn't work out. Bummer.

But I'm sure there are scouts right now looking over the rosters of college basketball teams searching for the next Gonzalez or Gates. Onobun was worth a shot, and so will the next low risk 3rd day draft pick they try this with.

It was a long shot project that didn't work out. This is the business, you move on.

I agree it was a great idea, but alas, limited to no blocking skills and unreliable hands. Other than that, he looked great. If there was an unlimited practice squad it would be nice to keep him around another year to chart improvement, but at the end of the day, a tight end that cant block is a very tough sell.

Worth a try but with Kendricks, Bajema and Hoomanawanui better players at the position, it was a long shot that he would stick around

    Re: Fendi Onobun?

It's players like Fendi that help make a great case for the old NFL Europe league. That would have been a good place to stash Mr. Onobun and allow him the time to develop his skills.

Oh well, that ship, sadly, has sailed.
