First of the Giant's cuts...
Since it's entirely probable that a number of players, specifically defensively, might want to follow Steve Spagnuolo to the Rams, I thought it was of interest to the clan to post the first Giant's cuts.
Two defensive backs, Sam Madison and Sammy Knight, along with running back Reuben Droughns.
I suppose it's not the pick of the litter yet, but would you consider any of these players for the 2009 squad? Let's have a non-"Michael Crabtree is teh best lolz" discussion for a change...
Re: First of the Giant's cuts...
I'll pass on all three.
Sorry shower, but I see this being a short discussion. :D

Yeah, I wouldn't really pick up any of them either, but I thought the topics of the other threads were getting a little stale...

WHAT?? Are you saying that these endless Crabtree threads are not INTERESTING?! ;)
Re: First of the Giant's cuts...
(Jump in my time machine) Hmm its 2003, Sam Madison and Sammy Knight welcome to the Rams. Heres to another few Super Bowl appearances.
I don't know, Sammy Knight sounds pretty good to me. Thats just what we need, another slow veteran strong safety that is a good leader. Thats worked before right?
But I like what your thinking beers, I could very well see a few giants heading our way. Whats the status on Osi Umenyoria and Justin Tuck??? I think we could make a trade happen...
Mbe Torry for bth those 2. Tuck is a beast lolz and osi teh bomb digity.

Well, I think what did it in for me was the thread entitled "If Pat Shurmer decides to run the WCO, will it affect our draft" and a poster provided a rather long and semi-detailed analysis, and the first response to it was "Michael Crabtree". That was it. I think it's gotten to the point where posters can just grunt "Crabtree" to make an argument.
Re: First of the Giant's cuts...
I won't mind giving madison a look.

None of those guys are anything to get excited about that I can see .. they are just "guys." However, speaking of players following Spags, what is the status of James Butler? I remember a Giant fan posting something about Butler being expendable, but I don't remember the details. Anyone know his contract status? The Giant fan who speculated on Butler's being expendable actually joined our forum to congratulate us on landing Spags ..
