    First Mock Draft Results

First Mock Draft results have us taking Jimmy Williams @ 11. Although, it is stated that "...if Vernon Davis is still on the board, he's a virtual lock." This is via Yahoo Sports. Sorry, no link.

Just FYI and all. Anyone care to opine?

    Re: First Mock Draft Results

I'd love to take either Jimmy Williams or Vernon Davis. Either would be perfectly fine with me. A.J. Hawk will be like Alex Barron last year. He's expected to go really high but he just might fall into our hands. That'd be my ideal pick.

    My Rankings:
    1. A.J. Hawk
    2. Vernon Davis
    3. Jimmy Williams

Double Z, you warm the cockles of my heart with the possibility of the hawk slipping to us at #11. Personally, i think there are two shots at hawk being on the board at 11. Slim and none, and slim has left the building. Now, maybe he slips to 8ish and he is close enough that we can possibly trade up to get him, but i doubt that also.

Funny, GC. Weren't we saying the same thing about Barron last year?

There's no way Barron slips to 23, or whatever it was...

Barron was 19 I think,I dont see Hawk falling any lower than Oakland,I think Williams will be the first D player off the board and then Hawk then hopefully Huff falls to us.
Jimmy Williams would have to do a lot at the combine to justify us picking him at 11 I think,He is slipping not climbing.

I agree with you, Rip. I'm not exactly thrilled with Jimmy Williams at 11th overall at this point. We'll see how Jimmy does at the combine.

I would love to get Hawk or Huff and the thought of Davis in our offense puts a smile on my face (probably Bulger's too) but when it is all said and done; I will be happy as long as our 1st pick is a difference maker.
