"First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
This could be an important issue for the Rams, as they have the second pick in Round 2 as well. There are always players who, somewhat unexpectedly, drop out of the first round.
Who is the most likely candidate?
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
Hmm, well first we would have to decide on who, in fact, IS a first rounder. That alone could bring some debate. So here's what I'll do.....using Nick's most recent 1st round mock, I'll say.....
Calais Campbell - He just strikes me as a "Barron" type of player. Crazy physical talent w/o less than desireable work ethic. A bad combine followed by a bad pro day may just bump him to the 2nd round.
Or maybe....
Phillip Merling - injuries have kept him out of every workout
Jonathen Stewart - won't see a football field for the next 6-8 months"Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Things that would happen before that would be finished:
1. Iraq War would be over
2. A manned Mars landing
3. Reconciliation between Bernie and Av
That being said, I'm thinking maybe Jonathan Stewart. I think teams will be leary of the turf toe to pay Round 1 money. Should have known it was a poll....ok Brian Brohm.

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
I very much agree, Campbell has free fallen after being told that he'd be a surefire first rounder. He had an ugly season, and has done nothing to impress in the offseason. He's a second rounder for sure. Further more, I don't even want him there. Maybe as a third.
Stewart could definitely fall, or he could be drafted by a team that already has an established RB and they're just looking for a two man backfield or an eventual replacement. Think Dallas would settle for the second/third best back in the draft even if he's not from Arkansas?

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
Calais Campbell is my choice.
What I'm struggling with is why Kenny Phillips' stock is dropping so fast? I mean, good senior season, good character by all reports, comes with an excellent Saftey pedigree, following in the footsteps of Reed and the much missed Shaun Taylor... Personally, I still see him as a 10-15 sort of pick. Maybe Denver. If he falls to round two, to me, he'd be very tempting.

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
I, too, went with Campbell. He didn't have as good a senior year as many expected him to, the workout numbers haven't been what you'd hope, and at almost 6'8", teams are going to worry about whether he can still get good leverage on offensive linemen.

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
I think if Kenny Phillips was there you would have to take him at #33. I think Campbell will likely fall out of the first. I don't think Johnathon Stewart will make it as far as the 2nd.

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
Campbell 300 pounds 5.03 40 time and a dis pointing 6 sack season which was decrease from his junior year. He is no longer the guy with excellent size and huge upside. Right now he is looking more like Tommy Kelley. I think Otah, Talib, and maybe Jackson are first round locks.

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
First off, I'd like to know where Johnathan Stewart's name was even mentioned in this poll?
And secondly, I'd have to say Merling because of his injury concerns.

Re: "First Rounder" Most Likely To Drop Out Of The First Round
id say a few players on the poll arent even said to be first rounders at the moment, Brohm for example looks to be a second round pick for someone like the Ravens
that said, of the people in the poll, Campbell is the one who has hurt his stock with continued poor performances
