The first six draft picks Thursday
Yes or No is this the order of the top six draft picks off the board Thursday?
1. The Colts select Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford (Luck already confirmed)
2. The Redskins select Robert Griffen III, QB, Baylor
3. The Vikings select Matt Kalil, OT, USC
4. The Browns select Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama
5. The Buccanears select Morris Claiborne, CB, LSU
6. The St. Louis Rams select Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma St.
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
I'm on record as Yes this is it, the first six picks and the Rams land Blackmon.
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
Where's the "I hope so" option?
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
It's hard for me to vote yes or no. That is the way about 90% of mock drafts come out, but there are so many surprises on draft day that I just can't say for certain. it makes sense, for a lot of reasons, but maybe the Browns or Bucs do want Blackmon. The Bucs signed Eric Wright, and have Ronde Barber for another year, plus Talib may be coming back in a year, so maybe they pass on Claiborne and draft another position, or trade out. I really don't think the Bucs are as set in stone at taking Trich if available, and Clairborne if not as many others believe.
Plus maybe the Vikings actually take Claiborne, and maybe they consider Blackmon even with the Simpson addition. They are weak at LT, Cb, and WR, so despite the media consensus that Kalil is the next best prospect, I don't think their pick is set in stone either.

Sounds like a No for you...
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
I'm voting NO! I don't think the draft will go in that order of selection.
If you meant just those people in no order. Sure why not.
I still think Browns take Blackmon at four. Holmgren is still mad at the Rams for not trading with them. Will find a RB later in Draft.
Blackmon is flat out the best WR in the draft. He can start right away. I don't know if any other WR will be able to start right away.
It really doesn't matter to me. The Rams can use anyone of the top six. (Even the QB's) That would give them a back up to develope at a high price.

Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
The browns could take blackmon, but if they do, it is not going to be because they are mad at the rams, its going to be because they think he helps their team the most. There is far too much at stake with the #4 overall pick to make a selection to spite someone else. In fact, i think most people believe that the gap between richardson and the next rb is a lot greater than the gap between blackmon and floyd, so i dont really see the "by far the best guy at his position argument."

Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
I'll vote yes, as that's likely going to be the Top Six in my final mock draft. But I won't be shocked at all if someone throws a curveball in there, whether it's one of the teams scheduled to pick in the top six or another team that moves up.
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
I say no
I think the Browns take Tannehill...They never came out and said Mccoy is their starter next year and they tried to get RGIII so that means they do not believe in Mccoy
In the NFL if you dont have a QB u go out and get one regardless of value like the Vikings did last year

I listed plenty of reasons to go the other way, but the way it is makes perfect sense too, I can't decide.
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
Any scenario where Blackmon is in horns I blindly see as likely.
But to answer your question seriously, yes I do. This is exactly how I would map it out.
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
I don't see it shaking out this way. Someone is going to trade up (Minny) for someone they covet
Re: The first six draft picks Thursday
The answer: Yes. Yes, that is the order of the first 6 picks. I'm willing to bet my cousin's life on it. Granted, he's a bit of a tool, so it's not a huge gamble, but...........yes, all the same.
