With Pickett leaving for Greener pastures, I would like to see Ngata become a Ram, unless Huff is still there, then would take him first. If Ngata, we gotta take a SLB in the 2nd IMHO

I voted for three people who before FA i didnt even think about.

Bobby Carpenter, Manny Lawson, and Haloti Ngata

The reason i voted for them was because now that we have WW set to start at the middle we need a SLB, and carpenter and lawson would fit prefect.

And i voted for ngata cause we need a dt now that pickett has left

Jimmy Williams = Jacoby Shepard II

I'm from the state of Virginia and watched VaTech a lot this year. I paid particular attention to Williams. In most games he wasn't an impact player - and not just because teams were afraid to throw at him. He was solid but gave up long passes and never looked like a lock-down corner. Plus in two of the games I saw he got flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and seemed like a hot-head and a bit full of himself.

I just have a bad feeling about Williams - all ability but I worry about the football dedication and focus you need to be an impact player.

Re: Which of the following players would you be happy with at #11?

I voted for DeMeco Ryans, Bobby Carpenter, Michael Huff, and Haloti Ngata.

I like what DeMeco brings in his leadership skills and the way he finds the football. He was the best defensive player on the best defense in the nation. In his first year as a starter on the strong side he posted 126 tackles which was among the highest of any defensive player in Alabama history. He's a natural SLB who had a better showing at the combine posting 23 reps of 225 and running a 4.6 in the 40

Bobby Carpenter would also be a good fit. He was a playmaker at Ohio State and I would welcome that in St.Louis. He has the strength to play the strong side and the versatility to line up at DE. The only question here is injury.

Michael Huff is a playmaker. I dont think he'll be there at 11. I wont be dissapointed if he is though.

Haloti Ngata would be a great addition to a line that is lacking a star. Kennedy has shown flashes of greatness but has had injury problems and Glover is only going to be effective for a few more seasons. Ngata provides solid depth in his rookie year and will be a stud DT in the years to come.

With any one of those guys you have a potential ROY and a potential Pro Bowler from day one.
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

I voted for Huff, Ngata, Greenway, Williams and Hali. Most of the others are players that I would not mind seeing in a Ram uniform, but who I think would be reaches at #11.

i've changed my mind on manny lawson, if we pick him up with the 11th pick he could be this year's version of shawn merriman... i dont like the idea of drafting ngata but he is an animal at that Dt position... Huff obviously a great pick if he falls but i would like to see my man OJ otogwe start at FS...

some mock drafts are saying we'll take Vince Young or Jay Cutler or whatever his name is. I think this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If we did this, I'd really be pissed, especially if Williams is there, or someone good that WE NEED lol

Hali will probably drop to the 2nd round because of a terrible pro day

Re: Which of the following players would you be happy with at #11?

Greenway is a PROJECT. He was weak in the testing at the combine (weaker than the DBs). Greenway (Iowa LB) is dropping. Some teams are even thinking he may have to be a SS.

Jimmy Williams is not a pure corner, he's better at Safety. That hurts his value.

I'm hoping (really Hoping) the Front office goes after Hawk, Ngata, or Huff. I have no problem with giving up a draft pick to get one of these guys that'll be a star in this league. The only problem is the other teams are going to be targeting them too.

Denny Green has openly spoke of trying to trade up for Hawk and Parcells wants Ngata if he can get a deal.

Ngata was classified as a monster at the Combine and that's usually the gold standard. As long as Ngata's knee checks out physically (and most teams think it will since he's dunking a basketball at 350lbs), he's not dropping. They'll look at his knee closely (like all first round picks). Ngata as a player is rated higher than Grady Jackson, Sam Adams, Richard Seymour or Casey Hampton were as dratees.

I don't know how you can call a player that started at OLB for a major college program and recorded over 150 tackles in his final season "a project." I think you, and many others, are completely overreacting to his supposedly poor combine performance. This reminds me of what happened with Terrell Suggs, who had surprisingly slow 40 times and dropped in the draft, only to become a premier NFL pass rusher.
