Forget DA, would you give a 2nd Rd pick for Brady Quinn?
Word is lately that the Browns (new management) aren't as interested in keeping Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson. Both apparently are on the trade market.
I don't like DA at all...but Quinn, I think he can be a very good NFL QB.
If the Browns are willing to give up Quinn for a 2nd Rd pick, would you make the trade?
I'd love to see Quinn in a Rams uniform.

The Browns are not going to trade their franchise quarterback. Derek anderson is the odd man out, and I don't even want him.

Yes I'd give up a 2nd rounder for Quinn. Bulger's not getting any younger, we need somebody ready to backfill the position.

too many other pressing needs...Quinn is worth a 2nd to a team needing just a QB but we are not one of those.

i like brady quinn and i think he will make a very good qb with the right team, i think he would be good for us but with bulgers cap issues and the rams whole situation at the minute qb is not really high on our priority list so it aint going to happen.

Oh and I must say you are wrong. We have a great need for a qb. I truely believe that this will be Bulger's last year. Maybe we can pull out of the draft hat Rhett Bomar. But Quinn would fine with for a 2nd rounder. Don't know if Bomar would be there in the 2nd anyway.
I stopped going to the dentist.......I got tired of the cavity searches!

Re: Forget DA, would you give a 2nd Rd pick for Brady Quinn?
Theodus, just what makes the need for a QB so great? Bulger, just two years ago, was a top five-seven QB in this league. The difference since then has been two years of completely horrible offensive line play. We lost an experienced center to retirement in Andy McCollum and started with bench fodder at the position since. That alone I think is a big reason why our line has sucked. Not to mention the continued failure of our strength and conditioning coaches in Bell's year last year, and Pace's injuries.
My point is, as always, Bulger is a very accurate passer when he has time to actually pass the ball. He's gotten hit so much the last couple seasons that he's shell shocked at the moment. The "Philly Coast Offense" that we're seemingly adopting should help the line and Bulger as it is a much more crisp and timing based system.
Now, do we need a young player that can learn for a few years and then take over? Of course. This draft would be a good one to grab a mid round prospect for just that purpose. Pat White in the 4th actually appeals to me as it could be a very good value pick, as we could possibly use him as a slot reciever and option QB for a couple years while he learns the NFL QB position behind Bulger. Bomar will most likely be there in the 2nd, by the way, but he won't last much longer than our pick, in my opinion. All the better if someone trades up to get him, though as it's one more player we might want that will drop.

"NO"
It would cost the Rams way to much money. Right now Rams have to many needs.
I'd rather take QB Brandstater in the 5th round for little $ and let him develope into the Rams next starting QB.
