    FoxSports new mock. 4.0

    http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5429730

    11. Rams Jimmy Williams DB Virginia Tech 11th SAME 11th / 15th
To make a move back into contention for the NFC West crown, the Rams have to compete with the passing attacks featured by Seattle and Arizona. Williams is the most gifted cornerback in the draft and some teams feel his upside is even higher at safety.

Yes, teams think he'll be a BETTER SAFETY. There's a question as to if he can make it as a Corner in the NFL. There's more quick Wideouts than there are the tall wideouts.

Williams upper body strength is another concern. He did 12 reps compared to 20 for Huff (who gives up weight to Williams).

They had a small segment on Huff on ESPN and they said he was the best CORNER & Safety in the draft.

    Yikes, that draft is scary.

    -Bunkley going ahead of Ngata.
-Jonathan Joseph in the mid first (could sneak into the bottom, but mid?).
    -Vikings take ANOTHER receiver?
    -Jason Allen to the Broncos?
-Tye Hill falls to the Hawks?

Talk about not yielding to conventional wisdom.

YES. I went back at looked at more than our projected pick. They have NGATA available for us.

If Ngata is available we'll take him or the Cowboys or a couple other teams will be trying to trade up if he lasts that long.

Also, I can't see Oakland not taking a QB. This draft shows one of the top 3 QBs available and Oakland passing. What are they going to do for a QB?

I have to agree with Nick on this draft. I've seen more realistic mocks by fans running web-sites from their basements.

He is a DT. And I want to wait a few more years before I feel comfortable drafting a DT in round one again. Plus more needs on D especially if we sign G. Jackson!

Grady Jackson wants too much money. I read teams were put off by his Very High asking price.

That makes it very unlikely he'll be a Ram.

I'm hoping we make a move up two slots (DETROIT) and take Huff. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Haslett lobbies for just that. I say first Option Hawk (very unlikelY), Second Huff (plan to trade up one or two slots), third Ngata.

Look for someone to try to trade into the #2 slot now that New Orleans has a QB. The Jets (with Multiple first round picks) may try to get a QB in that slot. Expect New Orleans to use their full 15 minutes entertaining offers at the #2 slot.

If Ngata is available at #11, it is the absolutely best of the realistic draft-day scenarios. Not only would we have the shot at the best defensive tackle -- something that we haven't had a shot at in our previous go-arounds -- but he'd be a guy that a lot of other teams would desire. It would, for instance, probably be our best and most realistic shot at moving down in the draft.

I, for one, wouldn't mind moving down a bit. We could drop four or five slots and still have a choice of Greenway, Hill, Bunkley, and even most of the running backs. And extra picks would be nice considering how deep the draft is this time.

    -Jason Allen to the Broncos?
I don't know, Nick. Allen is flying up the charts right now. He may sneak into the low first by the end of April.

I think we need to go OFFENSE in the draft. Let's take another bookend or a guard! Pace isn't gonna be here forever!

The logic is that now that the Raiders have signed Aaron Brooks, they no longer need to draft a QB. Because apparently Aaron Brooks is the answer to all prayers. Right. I think there's still a decent shot they take Young, but I wouldn't be surprised if they improved their D-line and took Ngata.

I have him high second round right now. I wouldn't be shocked if he squeezed into the very bottom of the first, but not at 22 to the Broncos, IMO.

I believe that they signed Brooks as a stopgap to give time for whomever they draft to develop. I personally believe that every QB needs at least a year to develop.
