Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
Which player would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
Alan Faneca G 6’5 307 31yrs old
Albert Haynesworth DT 6’6 320 26yrs old
Jared Allen DE 6'6 270 25yrs old
Terrell Suggs DE 6’3 260 25yrs old
This would be a tough choice if we go DE then I would want us to draft Jake Long OL if we go anything else I would want us to draft Chris Long DE. I like Chris Long and therfor it would come down to Faneca and Haynesworth for me. I would probably chose Haynesworth.
2008 DL
Little
Haynesworth
Carriker
Long
2008 OL (same as projected 2007)
Pace
Setterstrom
Romberg
Incognito
Barron
* I would have liked an upgrade for Setterstrom or Romberg until Setterstrom is a proven player.

Yeah, I picked Albert. I would just be a little leary on his stepping on players faces with his cleats past.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Fisher & Co. are going to let Haynesworth walk. He's 26 years old and is the heart and soul of that Titans defense.
What about a guy like Bob Sanders, who we desperately need to replace an ageing Corey Chavous? He's pretty good in coverage, plays great in the box and brings fire to an otherwise somewhat heartless defense. Not sure as to whether or not the Colts will look to resign him but that would be my #1 target.
The interior rotation of Carriker, Ryan and Glover have really began to develop into a solid core, and what was our greatest weakness last year is becoming less of an issue.
If we signed Bob Sanders, drafted Chris Long in the first round, then added some interior linemen through free agency and the draft, and also added a true deep threat wide reciever we're so desperately lacking to spread the field, we'd be taking a step in the right direction.
But what do I know, I'm sure Losehan's got it all figured out. :x

i Voted Allen he is a top 5 DE in league, but how about adding a less expensive but probably impact full FA like Stacy Andrews. He has started at LT and RT for most of the season on the leagues 2nd team in giving up sacks only giving up 17. He has great size at 340 and could start at guard until pace is ready to retire. He could play left or RT depending on Barron

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
I'm going to say Allen.. The Rams haven't had a dominate player on defense in sometime and Allen is the most dominate pass rusher in the NFL.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
I can't see Jared Allen leaving KC either. Plus, Defensive Ends are wayyy too overpriced in free agency, I'd stick to drafting a Chris Long or a Gholston.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
I said Haynesworth. Regardless of how well of a player Faneca is, he's up there in age. If we have a good, decently young player on our team, we would have impact from there for a while instead of 3 or 4 seasons.
If other was an option, I would say Bob Sanders. His name is known throughout the NFL and is a high profile player. The Rams could score big if we picked him up.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
From this list I would probably go Allen (though a case could be made for any of them), however I would prefer Bob Sanders to any of them given our particular situation.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
I'll go with Faneca. Our defense seems to be coming together nicely, but that O line is a shambles.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
My BPA instincts are saying Suggs, but ultimtely, the need along the OL tells me Faneca is the right choice.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
Ryan Lilja / Jake Scott.. young, just look at Peyton's protection. Jacob Bell, great for Tennessee, Stacy Andrews, versatile, etc.
Faneca is 31 years old, and is going to cost a fortune. Look at Steve Hutchinson's contract, OL like htat do NOT come cheap.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
Same here... If we added Faneca we would have two pro bowlers on the O line, that clearly needs some depth.I'll go with Faneca. Our defense seems to be coming together nicely, but that O line is a shambles.
On the D line we would have a nice young group, AC,Ryan and Long

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
I voted Suggs because he would seem like the most likely to leave his team, not including Faneca, whom I don't think we could afford.
Allen and Haynesworth will probably be locked up.

Re: Which free agent would you most like to see the Rams pursue?
I think we should pick up a starting-calibur safety like Ken Hamlin, and add some depth along the O-Line with guys like Jacob Bell or Stacy Andrews.
