Future QB
Marc Bulger is 30 years old and fragile. Any ideas who and where we can find a replacement down the line? Personally i like Colt Brennan but only in the fourth round or later

Re: Future QB
colt would only work if we installed hawaii's offense here, even then it would not work, because nfl is much stronger than ncaa

Re: Future QB
This is one of those times that I wish we still had Martz, even as an OC. We could bring in a young QB like Booty or Flacco and Martz would develop him into an apt NFL starter.

Re: Future QB
I wouldn't mind selecting a Dennis Dixon. I've always been intrigued by mobile QB's. He could wait a year or two..learn the system, and get a shot the next time Bulger goes down. If we can put talent around him on offense, which we already have--He could end up being pretty good.
But what do I know? LOL

Re: Future QB
Someone here mentioned Henne in another thread earlier. As much as I hate any player coming out of Michigan, he was a four-year starter playing in a more traditional style of football, would will probably go overlooked until late in the draft. Could be a nice "Brady-like" pickup, however, in probably only one sense of that, in that we could probably get him in the sixth round.

Re: Future QB
Booty and Henne will shoot up boards after their great performances in their respective bowls. I like two mobile QB's out of the city of San Diego that can be found in the 4th or later. Josh Johnson, QB, San Diego or Kevin O'Connell QB San Diego State. Both are very mobile and acurate and could be great developmental QBs

Re: Future QB
I wouldn't mind taking Brennan in the third or fourth. Yes he struggled in their bowl game but their line was clearly overmatched. He has a funky sidearm motion but he has a very quick release and is extremely accurate.

Re: Future QB
Flacco,Brennan, and Dixson I would all take in the 5th round (MAYBE 4th round) but I don't think any of them will be the future QB. Just provide us with a backup, for now. I mean Bulger is very fragile but we are pretty much stuck with him for a little while after he signed that extension. So I think our future QB is in High School right now.
And in that case may I please pray for Terrelle Pryor.

Re: Future QB
if the RAMS are looking to draft a developemental QB , i believe that their best bet is to look at the need and the player , and not the round . HENNE , FLOCCO are slowly moving up , and these 3-5 rounders are maybe sliding up to be 2-3 rounders . i like the big body big arm like FLOCCO . but i also know what being a 3-4 year starter brings to the team. in saying that , HENNE , AINGE and FLOCCO would be my choice for the rams too pursue .
