Re: g dorsey !!
I didn't think there was anything special on his pro day testing wise, but his individual drills looked pretty good

Re: g dorsey !!
If Chris Long is gone, then Dorsey is third on my list behind Gholston and Jake Long.

Re: g dorsey !!
Carriker put up way better numbers at the combine and he is similar size just taller. He has also had better career numbers at a similar position. Just putting it out there, but if Carriker played UT all year I think they would put up similar numbers. I really don't think Dorsey is that much better if he is at all. Thats why i would agree on a big board similar to Nick's and AV

Re: g dorsey !!
I think Nick and I agree 100%
My draft board:
1. C.Long
2. J.Long
3. V.Gholston
4. G.Dorsey
I would also hope we traded back if we took V.Gholston or G.Dorsey.

Re: g dorsey !!
Don't get me wrong, I like Dorsey. But with the past history of Ram's DT's chosen in the 1st round, I'd rather put my money on Gholston or Long.

Re: g dorsey !!
Same as everyone else, though the 2 and 3 positions continually switch. I'm starting to feel Long, Long, Gholston, Dorsey though.

Re: g dorsey !!
1. Dorsey
2. Chris Long
3. Jake Long
4. Gholston
Main reason, I always go against the norm because in my experience the norm is usually wrong. No offense to anyone, but that's just a fact. Anyway, why not move Carriker to DE where he belongs and put the best DT in the draft at UT? Who knows, maybe he'll be even better at DE and then we have Dorsey and Ryan on the front line?
Sounds good to me

Re: g dorsey !!
Why not move AC? Because he was a 3-4 DE, not a 4-3 DE. His responsibilities in college were pretty much the exact same as a pass rushing UT. If Ryan can start and play the nose, then there's no reason why Carriker shouldn't start the three tech. If you think that Chris Long is too slow to play 4-3 DE, then you haven't seen Carriker yet.
If we get Dorsey and move AC to end, we'll be amazingly strong against the rush, however, how many 300+ lbs pass rushers do you see coming around the edge? Not too many. Michael Strahan is 255, but he's an anomaly. He lost the weight to become faster because he was already able to bull rush tackles, but wasn't much of a speed threat. A good speed rusher's probably in the 260's range, a balanced end in the 270's.

Re: g dorsey !!
Well....ok. Just trying to somehow get the best DT that has come out of college in quite awhile. I just think it's a shame that we don't want to draft Dorsey because we drafted a 3-4 DE to play UT the year before and now we have that player possibly out of position and won't draft Dorsey because we need a DE who might just be a combine commando but gametime dud.
