Re: Get Scared Vick Haters...
That was a "situational gimmick use", not "Wildcat as your core offense."
It's like us saying that since we were able to score using a fake field goal once, we should make that the centerpiece of our offense.
Miami is the only team in the league that uses the Wildcat as something approaching their base offense, and even then they mix up formations.

Re: Get Scared Vick Haters...
Statistically speaking Vick makes his running backs have better years. Look at VY and Johnson. When VY started, his numbers went up. If we can, hypothetically, get a QB who improves our best aspect which is our running attack, why not go for it?

Re: Get Scared Vick Haters...
Bulger is better QB than Vick and won't cost us a draft pick, so yes.
I know this will come as a shock to many of you, but Vick is only 3 years younger than Bulger, does not appear have this dramatically upgraded morale that you greatly, if insanely, demand nor is he more "fiery", has greater accuracy problems, (And accuracy is critical in the "New Model NFL" that many claim this is), and in the minimal statistical sample that this season provided, only threw 2 TDs with a much better supporting cast.
----------------------------------
Moreover, in the admittedly unlikely event there is a cap, trading for Vick and cutting Bulger actually burns cap space, rather than adds to it.

Re: Get Scared Vick Haters...
We're not winning a bidding war for Vick.

Re: Get Scared Vick Haters...
The bills, Browns, Raiders, Vikings, Redskins, Panthers.
All of these teams could be in the market for a QB, we would win a bidding war with maybe two of them. And if we get into a bidding war we are going to overpaid for a QB that will do nothing for a West Coast style offense. So since I dont think Devaney is getting advice from Al Davis, this will not happen.

Re: Get Scared Vick Haters...
he said he would only go to a team to play as a starter or best opportunity to start., If your watching the Michael Vick Project on BET he said he thought he would be a Ram and it seems like that is his first choice.
Here's a simple question for many of you. Say the Rams had to start Null or Boller in a game against the Bills. Loser of the game is knocked out of the NFL.
The Bills could start Bulger, Pennington, or Vick. Whoever starts must play the whole game, no sub, or wildcat. Which QB would be most fearful to play against? If you could pick one of the 3 to not play who would it be?
I think many forget the fear and ability of Vick to just win the game. He will never be Peyton Manning but I don't think there is any better choice to start our first 6 games of the season.
Jason Campbell is a 1st and 3rd tender ssays John Clayton -- every other QB hasn't won anything, Vick has.
