Hadley: I am 100% sure the Rams will take Glenn Dorsey.

Referring to John Hadley of Big 550 in St. Louis.

I heard this while listening to the 4/24 (today) edition of 'Football Today' with Jeremy Green. He also says that if the Rams are trying to bluff with Dorsey and want to trade down, it wouldn't be for Chris Long but it would in fact be for Darren McFadden. Wow, to say the least. Here's a link to the podcast page:

Click on 'Football Today'

Also, does anyone know where I can find a video or transcript of the news conference with Linehan and Devaney today which pertains to the draft? Would like to see that. And please ladies and gents, don't shoot the messenger.

Re: Hadley: I am 100% sure the Rams will take Glenn Dorsey.

Hadley knows nothing. All he is doing is playing the odds. If the Rams take Dorsey, I'm sure he'll follow-up with a "you heard it here first" statement.

If the Rams don't take Dorsey, he'll conveniently move on to other matters.

Bottom line: What's the difference between the statements being made by Hadley/Bernie/McShay/Kiper and a steaming bucket of crap?

Answer: The bucket.

Someone who says he is "100% sure" is claiming to be doing something other than guessing, no?

Re: Hadley: I am 100% sure the Rams will take Glenn Dorsey.

This reeks of a smokescreen to me. It seems suspicious that all the Rams writers are suddenly pushing Dorsey as the pick. He and McFadden are probably the most likely players a team would trade up to select at #2. The Falcons and Saints have shown interest in Dorsey, while the Jets and Raiders would supposedly like D-Mac. And now all of a sudden McFadden is our second option??? Spare me.

:l

NFLN showed just a second of the news conference with Linehan and Devaney. Both said they still don't know who we are taking. No shocker there...

This could be a prime example of the extremely rare "double smokescreen". The Rams are trying to entice Atlanta to trade up to take Dorsey and at the same time trying to convince Oakland to beat Atlanta to the punch and trade up for McFadden. Brilliant!

Re: Hadley: I am 100% sure the Rams will take Glenn Dorsey.

So Hadley has some "inside information" and he's going consider it gospel and run with it two days before the draft?? I wonder if he knows what a pawn is? Devaney's tactics are working to a tee and everyone in the media looks to be falling for it. Now if only Atlanta will do the same and react.

Re: Hadley: I am 100% sure the Rams will take Glenn Dorsey.

What if you all are over thinking this. What if the Rams really do want Dorsey? You guys will all look so dumb. A double smokescreen? Really? No one in the entire NFL thinks the Rams are seriously thinking about drafting McFadden. The only reason someone drafts McFadden with #2, is if the Jets trade up so Oakland doesn't take him.

And Kiper's been doing this 30 years, he doesn't make a living being stupid and picking names out of a hat AV. No one ever knows what's going to happen during the draft, not even you. They're taking their best guess based on the information at hand, they are not out to get you.

No one ever knows what's going to happen during the draft, not even Kiper.

The Rams said today it's down to three guys, most people on this board knew that. Now how did we know that? We have been debating these three guys for months now, but how did we know?

If this is a smokescreen the journalists sure are playing along very well with the FO's plans. Either that or they're just gullible :O

Either way I'm still hoping a smokescreen is exactly what it is - Dorsey #1 and McFadden #2 on our board is just about the worst thing I can imagine right now.

Hey dude, we're just expressing opinions here. Anything wrong with that? If we're wrong we're wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time.

.
Is everyone forgetting that last week Devaney laid out a very specific timetable and that timetable has the Rams with their Draft board already completed at this time?

They are done - they know exactly who they are picking and what they will ask for if someone makes an offer.

It's over.
