That's how I'm starting to feel about some of the FA signings. The money being thrown at second-tier players like Justin Smith, Bernard Berrian and Donte Stallworth makes me think it is better to just sit back and let others overspend.

Hopefully, there's a decent deal out there for the Rams, but I'd rather sign nobody than give massive amounts of guaranteed money to another Drew Bennett.

Yeah the deals will come next week, this has been crazy. The whiners took 10 years to get out of cap hell and two years to go right back in.

I agree these deals are crazy and I am gald we are taking no part of it. We would kill ourselves even worse for our future cap. We need to be smart better bargains after the frist week of signings. Also I think with our cap space we could possibly make some trades where we take on some big salaries for better players. In trade we might be able to pay less for better players then whats on the free agent market.

It would be great if there was some magical button we could push that would prevent anyone who complains about Drew Bennett's contract from complaining about our lack of immediate activity in the early hours/days of free agency. Maybe that's going to come with the next vBulletin upgrade.
