Browns president Mike Holmgren plans to call the Rams one last time in an effort to trade up for the No. 1 pick.
Speaking to ESPN's Michael Smith, Holmgren said he is willing to part with most of his 2010 picks in addition to a 2011 pick. "They shouldn't do it," Holmgren said of the Rams. "They need a quarterback more than anyone in the world."

Holmgren later acknowledged: "It's not going to happen. I just got out of a meeting and I told everyone, let [the board] come to us. That said, I'm going to go make the call.

I'd be all over "most of their picks".... whooo I'd love that.

But hearing Holmgren time and time again state how high he is on Bradford gives me real pause... (Maybe it's driving up the price as well) Almost scares me into wanting to select Bradford #1 regardless. Almost,.

I just don't see Holgren pulling a Ditka for Ricky Williams trade, but if it gets us Clausen, then all is good.

The Rams would be foolish not to take a multiple pick offer with all the help we need. Particularly, if the Browns parted with a 1st rounder in next year's draft. But even if they didn't IMO, we'd be fools not to pull the trigger.

Sam Bradford is not that much better than the rest of the class. And in fact, may not even be the best once he steps on an NFL field.
