Housh to sign with seattle
per rotoworld:
Well, i guess alot of Rams fans who wanted the Rams fans to draft Crabtree so we wouldn't have to face him twice a year can breathe a big sigh of relief because it now seems that the Seahawks have no need for Crabtree. I still want Michael Crabtree, never even thought about facing him twice a year but i have seen plenty of posts where people have saidFree agent T.J. Houshmandzadeh will sign a multi-year deal with the Seahawks, according to the National Football Post.
Seattle was offering at least $2M more than both the Vikings and Bengals. The 'Hawks were also desperate for a durable wideout. Housh was a flanker in Cincinnati and that's Deion Branch's position in Seattle. Branch could now be moved to the slot or cut, as it was rumored he might be in the winter.
"I hope we draft him so we don't need to face him twice a year." We are going to need a threat WR to compete...

This sucks. It looked like they were totally out of contention just as late as this morning.

Re: Housh to sign with seattle
he`s a good player i will give them that....i dont fear him in a Seahawks uniform tho.. if they chose to draft Crabtree (which is still possible, but unlikely) it wasnt the next couple of years i would have been a worried about..it would be the fact that they could build a pretty formidable offense around him...Houshmanzadeh will be good for them and put up decent numbers but at 31,by the time they re-build that offense he will be 34 and likely of questionable ability to worry us too much.

Re: Housh to sign with seattle
Well honestly im not too afriad of housmenzadeh. Now that we signed Bartell I am more than certain that Ron can cover Hous.
I'm not too afriad of the Seahawks overall. Cuz they seem like a team that does not master anything. The only reason they won so much was cuz of Mike Holmgreen's brilliance i dont see them as a factor down the strech.
The Hous signing doesn't mean much because they are a running team.

Re: Housh to sign with seattle
You have to give respect to Hassleback he is the most underrated QB's in the league not to mention one of the smartest. He single handedly beat us more then 1 occassion. Remember in 07 when J. Brown kicked last second fieldgoals to beat us? Well Hassleback was the one who put them in position to make the kick.

Re: Housh to sign with seattle
With all due respect, we dont need a wide receiver to match up with housh. What we need is a pass rush to protect the corners. No corner is going to cover this guy alone if the qb has time to throw.

Re: Housh to sign with seattle
Your Crabtree argument makes no sense. Seattle signing Housh just means we need to play better defense
