How about THIS trade?
Okay, I promise... last pre-draft trade proposal from me...
There are reports that the Browns are interested in Sanchez.
Here's a fairly simple scenario:
Rams send the #2 pick in the draft to the Browns for the #5 pick and Brady Quinn.
The Rams would be guaranteed to get Monroe, J.Smith or Curry, and would get Quinn as a QB to groom for the future.
Hmmmm.....
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

If we could work it, I'd be down for that in a heartbeat.

What kind of fool would say "no" to that?

Re: How about THIS trade?
That would be an awesome trade, I'd love to get Quinn for basically nothing and get a OT for cheaper then what we would at #2. Also I could see this happening if the lions pass up on Stafford, the browns might REALLY want him or is it really just Sanchez that they are interested in?

Re: How about THIS trade?
id love to do this
i feel sorry for Quinn, not for his draft day slide (which was funny), but because Cleveland made a great move to get him on draft day, but now its been ruined by new management
i feel sorry for anyone that has to be coached by Mangini to be honest, guy seems like a right pain

Re: How about THIS trade?
I thought Quinn played pretty well before he got injured, and would be a nice qb to replace Mark in 2 years, or maybe 1. We would also get one of the players we are interested in anyways, so it is a very good trade.

Re: How about THIS trade?
I'd rather the Browns threw in something besides that overhyped bust in waiting Quinn.

How about THIS trade?
Rams trade #2 and get #5(Browns, Monroe/Smith) and #17(Jets,Maualuga?)
Browns trade #5 and Brady Quinn and get #2(Rams, Sanchez)
Jets trade #17 and get Brady Quinn
The key is, the Jets feel like they want to move up and get Sanchez, but don't have the ammo to do so. They also want Brady Quinn, but don't have what the Browns want. So, this gives them a QB they want, gives Mangini who he wants, and gives us an extra 1st round pick for an MLB, or whatever.Last edited by TekeRam; -04-24-2009 at 01:04 PM.

Re: How about THIS trade?
I don't think anyone is advocating trading Sanchez for Quinn. The question is, would you rather have the No. 2 pick or the No. 5 pick and Quinn.

Re: How about THIS trade?
You take that back right now.
How about this, after months away from the board I come back to find trade talks involving Brady Quinn. I knew you guys would come around.
However it seems unlikely the Browns would trade up to get a player they might be able to get at 5. They won't trade up for Sanchez, that'd would be giving one expensive QB up to sign one that's going to cost you a lot more. They'd only trade up to bypass Kansas City and take Aaron Curry. But I do love the thought AV.

Re: How about THIS trade?
I won't. From what I saw of his college performance, he is the overrated product of the ESPN hype machine. One of the biggest knocks on Bulger is he lacks that "it" leadership factor when the chips are down to bring a team victory. Quinn didn't have that in college, and he hasn't shown that in his NFL career as well.

Re: How about THIS trade?
I don't know. What has Brady Quinn done anyways? I'm not really a fan at all and to me he isn't the best fit for the WCO. Honestly if we really wanted a QB I would rather stay put at number 2 and take Sanchez who is a much better fit for the WCO.
