How badly do the Falcons want Dorsey?

I think they want him in a bad way. IMO, the Falcons are using Ryan as a smokescreen. If they can't get Dorsey, they would like to trade back but that may be difficult.

So in the end, they will swap picks with the Rams and the Rams will get #48 overall.

We know, they know and the Saints know Dorsey is the best defensive player in the draft. They will wait but once the Rams are on the clock, the Falcons will make the deal.

The Falcons will look to get a Henne or Falco in round 2.

If I lived in Maui, I would not care who my team drafted - you must be filthy Rich, MauiRam - don't they sell dirt over there for about $5,000/ounce?

I think the Falcons want Glen Dorsey - but I do not think they want him "bad"........I promise you the Falcons will not give up a 2nd round pick - you can "bet the house" on that - I would be SHOCKED if Falcons traded a 2nd rounder - I don't think they will even trade a 3rd rounder. The Falcons need so much - they need even more than the 11 picks that they have....

Eauclare,

Rams are using Dorsey as a smokescreen
Falcons are using Ryan as a smokescreen

Yeah, that sounds about right to me.....

Are you 100% sure. How much did the Falcons give up to get Vick and how many needs did they have that year?

Re: How badly do the Falcons want Dorsey?

If the Falcons will give us any of their second round picks, it will definately be the last of them. It's just moving up one spot, and we can definately find some good talent mid second round.

I just hope they really want him and he's just trade bait, I would really want Chris Long on the squad....

Re: How badly do the Falcons want Dorsey?

Not bad enough to trade a 2nd to move up one spot. Ketwan Balmer or Trevor Laws can be had in the 2nd and Red Bryant in the 3rd.

I think even if we want him, we'd be fools not to make that deal. At this point, he is not a 2nd round pick better than Long or Gholston.

Re: How badly do the Falcons want Dorsey?

first of all, you guys will take chris long if you stay put at two. It makes no sense to move up because not only would we loose draft picks, we would also have to pay him more. Even if the saints offer you their hole draft to get dorsey at two, I truly believe people in the Atlanta FO really like ryan and would not hesitate to take him......I dont want him but if dorsey if gone I can live with it.

That's just it Balmer, Laws and Bryant aren't DORSEY no matter how you slice it. Do the Falcons need our front office telephone number?

Being 3-13 last season was painful but having the upperhand in the draft is sweet!!!
