personally I have extremely high hopes that the Rams draft him in like the 4th or 5th (?) round and keep him as a qb. He is obviously an exciting player and is a true winner, too.
anyway, what does everyone else think?

Hmmmmm..... nah!
We need to stock up the defense with some depth rather than spend picks on gimmick QBs!
No offense!
I have been nothing but impressed by the guy from what I've seen at the Sr Bowl, and the combine. That said, do I think he'll be there that late...doubt it. I've also stated on here, that I wouldn't mind us trading for Troy Smith or JDB either on draft day. Given the fact that Smith was Balts starter before he got sick, n given the fact that Balt. has lost some players to free agency already, I feel that that would be the best option to explore. Plus he already has NFL experience.
I would be all for Picking Pat White in the 4th or 5th, Do I think he'll be there? Not a chance !! I think he'll go late 2nd or early 3rd. But if he is there later I think we could afford to spend a pick on him, especially if we are working a trade to aquire more picks. I think Pat White is going to prove alot of peole wrong that he can play QB in the NFL.
I don't think the Rams will draft him.
We are a team that is re-building. So i do not think we will take a chance at the position change from QB to WR.
He will not be a Qb for the Rams cuz Pat Shurmur (our O-coordinator) has a new WCO scheme. Which favors QBs with great accuracy and a qb that can think fast because it requires quick passes. Pat White does not fall under that.
However i think he would be great for the dolphins cuz of there Wildcat Offence.
it might just be me but the similarities between him and mike vick are uncanny and at the very least vick was exciting and put fans in the seats. I would support the FO 100% if they picked up White.
The Troy Smith idea is intriguing, too. Samari Rolle reportedly wants out of Baltimore... hmm maybe a Holt + 5th rounder for Smith and Rolle?
I like this kid alot too.
Maybe Nick can offer some insight....a scouting report?
Pat White was nothing short of spectacular in college. Great athelete (throwing and running), tough as nails, smart, and a winner. Very high character individual too from what I've heard. I'd love to have him on the Rams, but he's a luxury we can't afford.
As a Mountaineer fan, I have watched Pat White for the last 4 years and have seen a steady development of maturity and ability. With good coaching I believe he will become a very accomplished NFL QB, however, I do not believe he will be in the plans for the Rams draft. I believe he gets drafted before we can get him in the 4th or 5th. Wherever he goes I wish him all the best, (unless it's with the Whiners).
Scouting Report: Love him.
I think he has the ability to turn some heads as a pro QB, if he's put within the right system. Size would be a concern at the next level, but I think he's shown enough through college and in the offseason to earn a tryout as a passer.
I don't think the Rams will be the ones giving him that tryout, though. I think Pat is off the board in the first three rounds.
You really have to respect Pat White for what he did at the college level.
Especially since he played for such a bad program. ;)
(Just kidding Nick... please don't ban me.)
Seriously though I cover a lot of University of Louisville football and it was always a joy to watch him play... even when he was putting it to my team.
