Wow, Tx... that was pretty optimistic. Don't hurt yourself.

I gave my detailed opinion in my post-draft article, but all in all, I'm happy.

I thought Bradford was the right pick.
Saffold and Murphy fill important needs.
Gilyard and Selvie are potential steals.
The others (particularly Onobun and Davis) are intriguing developmental prospects.

There are still some holes to fill, but I'm glad the Rams stuck to their draft board rather than trying to appease the Mel Kipers of the world.

Man, I thought I was the only person on this board who thought Dickerson was a good option. He had a great combine, but obviously the other 31 teams didn't think too much of him either as he lasted till round 7. The thing I liked about him was the mismatches he can create and with the other teams in our division getting stronger too, we need to be crafty on offense. I want to turn on the TV on Sunday and hear about how our opponent has to be scared about us. I'm sick of being dumped upon by the biased media coverage going on in this league.

I voted OK, because like so many others I wanted name players who we can rejoice over "stealing as a great value" . I respect Devaney and Spags for trying to mold a "tough" team with physical players. I just would like to see us be more wheeler/dealers like the Pats, Eagles and Jets who turn 1 pick into 2 or 2 into 3. For a draft with this depth we could have benefited from more picks. I still love the Rams and look forward to the coming season with our new QB.

The Eagles and Patriots have solid teams, and their coaches and front office have spent years drafting and developing players. Teams must to posses value in order to get value.

If there had been any trades available that favored the Rams, then we would have jumped on it. There is no evidence that we rejected any reasonable offers.
A defeated look of consternation, dissappointment, or even pain. The name derives from the look one often gets when challenged by a large BM.

*Our other 5th round picks & rounds 6 & 7 follow the BPA format, you look for developmental players & players that fit your system. In our case we look for the best OT, CB & DE's available, but the first four picks could have went like this and it would have instantly improved our team.

Re: How happy are you with the players the Rams drafted?

I feel good about this draft because of one name.

What name is that, HUb? Bradford? Saffold? Murphy? Gilyard? Selvie? Oomanahanlanatanganamanhockalugi?

    No.

    Roy Schuening.

    Why Roy Schuening, HUb?

Because he is the only player drafted by the Devaney led Rams not currently on the roster. Of Devaney's 15 picks, 14 are still here. All of Shawgmunt's picks still on the roster? 9, and 8 if Little doesn't play.

Why does that make me feel good about this new crop? Because I feel better about the process. With Shawgmunt the process was broken. Whether it was Zygmunt swaying influence based on his personal relationship with certain agents, or just simply too much pride of accountants and lawyers to recognize they are not football men, the system they brought to the draft room did not work. It appears that Devaney may have a little more success with his process.

This is a draft I am at last happy about. Yes I would have preferred a bigger reciever, and a back up for Jackson. But you can only take what is there. The draft is a lottery remember, people think this stuff is easy sat at at home with a few beers.
    Crazy.

I don't like this draft because of the Bradford pick and the reaches. Once I saw Clausen and McCoy falling I started to become sick. I hope I eat crow on this Bradford thing.

Kindle was taken in the second round.

Reaches? Which one do you see as reaches?

I second that. I don't think any of our top picks were reaches. Saffold was graded out as a first rounder, Murphy started off a bunch of CBs being picked in the next few spots, Gilyard was considered a steal in the fourth...I guess you could argue that maybe our tight ends were picked a little high, but is it really considered reaching that deep into the draft? It's mostly just a guessing game at the point.

Are they reaches because they weren't on Mel Kiper's best available list??

Hoowanamanui, Davis, Onobun, and Sims looked like reaches to me. Hopefully they all turn out well but these look like throwaway/project picks that won't last more than 2 seasons here.

Yeah, your probably right. Can you share some of your notes you made when you spent hours researching these guys? The way you talk it seems like you must have really found some gems in the last 3 rounds, how much game film did you watch? I bet WAY more that those chumps we have running the team, i mean your some dude from the internet.

P.S. ESPN and NFL.com are not considered research.
