How many receivers go in Round One?

With underclassman declarations, this is shaping up to be a pretty outstanding class of receivers when it comes to Top 50 talent. How many do you think ultimately go in the first round?

There are a number of players who, when it's all said and done, could make a case to be taken in the first 32 picks.

    Sammy Watkins
    Mike Evans
    Marqise Lee
    Allen Robinson
    Odell Beckham
    Brandin Cooks
    Jarvis Landry
    Davante Adams
    Brandon Coleman

That doesn't include Kelvin Benjamin, who has yet to declare but should be factored into this list if he does.

If the Rams still feel like they need a shot in the arm at receiver, they're going to have some choices with their first three picks.

Re: How many receivers go in Round One?

If we draft a WR, he'd better be ready to step on the field. That means he needs to be comfortable with the full route tree, physical and aggressive in the air, and not a knucklehead. To me that means we either get someone in the top 2/3 of the class, or we pass and focus on some other positions (CB, OL). We don't need any more projects.

For me, that suggests that we should look at Watkins and maybe Evans.

    5 WRs 100%
    6 WRs 70%
    7 WRs 40%

i think it the top 50 picks will have 8,9 or possible 10 ..esp. If Benejamin in draft....that has to be a record

I'll say 4 if Benjamin declares.

I think Watkins, Evans, Lee, Benjamin(if he comes out), Robinson, Cooks, and maybe Adams

The others are second round bound, along with Bryant and Parker.

Given the growing depth at WR, there could be some very good options in the Selection No. 20-40 range, so if the Rams do obtain an extra pick, WR could be a very good target.

Re: How many receivers go in Round One?

I'd go with 4, 5 at the most. While there are talents worthy of round 1 spots, I just don't think there are enough picks to go around, and teams might be thinking the same thing AV is, that a talent might still be there in round 2.

    No particular order

    Watkins
    Lee
    Evans
    Robinson and or Benjamin

I believe it is safe to predict somewhere between 1 and 12.

I'd say Watkins, Evans, Lee, Benjamin and possibly Robinson. Somebody could fall in love with Beckham, Landry or Jones. But I'll say five.
