If the Cards pull the trigger and send OT Shelton to Buffalo for RB Travis Henry how will it effect the draft? Will the Cards then no longer needing a RB go for a OT to replace Shelton? If so this could impact the Rams getting a OT in the 1st round. Thoughts????
I would imagine the Cards would go CB, since they signed tackle Oliver Ross in the offseason and basically said their starting O-line for 2005 is complete. Meanwhile, they have virtually nothing at corner, and could probably get either Antrel Rolle or Adam Jones at #8 overall.
According to my buddy in phoenix, who i spoke with earlier today, if the trade happens, he predicts they will go cb, just as nick predicts. The other possibility would be qb, if one of the two elite guys falls to them, or, a trade down if someone else wanted one of the qb's that fell, since moving down a few spots would still allow them to get an elite defensive player (ie merriman or johnson or another one of the cb's).
Arguably, the trade could help the rams, since bensen might fall all the way to #13, which could lead jacksonville to take him, thereby bypassing either barron or brown if detroit took barron at #10.

I can't see the cards taking a tackle they have already sorted the O line which is why they don't need shelton I can see the cards picking one of the top two CB's as well

With their gaping cavernous hole at corner, I just can't imagine something other than one of those two names being called.
