The "I dream of (2012) FAs" Thread (Version 1.0)

This is a very preliminary list of potential 2012 UFAs. Which would you most want to see in a Rams uniform in 2012?

NOTE: I've selected from other teams' FAs only (i.e. Brandon Lloyd not eligible), and limited the list to players who are currently under 30 years of age.

I believe Tulloch is a Lion, not a Titan.

I'd love to get Nicks but seeing the money invested it'll be a cheaper option for the Oline even with cutting platers I guess.

    Second choice Tulloch

Since it is a dream scenario i go with the best and most impactful player on that board Desean Jackson...Just send him on deep slants and go routes and let salas, amendola, S-Jax eat up yards underneath

Landry is a great player, im not sure whether he fits the Rams system, i'll leave that to more 'well versed' Clan Rammers but i do like watching him play

I voted for him too. Landry is the ultimate package at SS. I'd love to line him up next to Mikell or Stewart.

    Peyton Hillis.

We don't really have anywhere to put Nicks. We could replace Bell, but Bell has been our best pass protector, and he makes some nice blocks in the run game now. I don't want to replace Dahl, because he has been blocking pretty well in the run game.

Dwayne Bowe is a good receiver, but he's inconsistent.

LaRon Landry is a great SS, but I think finding Jackson's replacement is more important.

While Jackson is slowing aging and getting weaker (he's not the big bulldozing bruiser he used to be), Hillis is a bowling ball. He and Jackson will physically tire out the opposing defenders, leaving them vulnerable to get destroyed through the air when Blackmon/Jeffery and Lloyd and Salas and Amendola wreck havoc.

I went with Courtland Finnigan since he is a pretty good ball hawk and we will be short on CB one way or another..

As much as the Rams need a cornerback, I can't stand Finnigan. I'd rather go into next season with the injured starting 3, plus anyone who emerges in the next 10 games. I'd pick Tulloch since the other positions would be a little easier to address with a top 5 or 6 draft pick. It's a toss up between him and DeSean Jackson because Jackson is only 25.. If I remember correctly this years LB crop is thin.

I took Tracy Porter. We may not see Ron Bartell again and Porter has experience on a sound defensive unit that will add leadership to our young secondary. My second choice would be Carl Nicks as a replacement for Bell if we cut him.

    Go Rams!

I completely agree with you about Finnegan. He is the only guy in the league that i just cant stand at all. Hes literally the only guy I wouldnt want the Rams to sign.

I think Landry is leading the way, because many are assuming Lloyd.

I much rather have Bowe., but that means we are dropping Lloyd out of the picture policy

I went with Finnegan. He's a dirty player and a jackass, but he would also bring a swagger and physicality to our secondary. Hes also never had any off field issues. I've heard that off the field he is a very respectful "yes sir, yes maam" kind of guy. All the issues that people think of when they think of Cortland Finnegan come from his style of play on the field, and are part of his game. He gets under the receivers skin. Also, he manages to stay healthy and has missed very little time with injuries.

I'm a fan of swagger and confident mentality, but I don't want my CB's getting beat the hell out of by other WRs. Courtland Finnegan was about to get his head stomped in by Andre Johnson if he wasn't stopped.
