    I really hope....

Teddy Bridgewater slips to round 2. His draft stock seems to be plummeting day by day. Whether it's his small frame, small hands, or ability to be the face of a franchise, Teddy seems to be sliding big time. Mayock has been on record saying he's hearing a lot more Round 2 grades rather than Round 1's on Teddy.

In my eyes Teddy is still an excellent prospect. He is pro-ready IMO. Very accurate guy who is very smart and is a great character. I would love if he slipped to round 2 because I'd be ecstatic to take him there. I'd let him and Sam duel it out this year (Obviously Sam would win being a veteran) and Bridgewater can sit under him for a year and learn the system and take all the snaps while Bradford is still down and out (TC, Mini-camps, Pre-season). He'd get a ton of valuable experience there all while perfecting his craft behind Sam. The following year you either cut/trade Sam or continue with Sam and have one of the best backups in the league again.

Either way we win. If Sam pans out and is healthy and is playing good football like we all expect than you have one of the best backups in the game and can trade Bridgewater in a year or two, even 3, to a team in need of a QB for a 1st rounder or some other expensive package. If Sam continues to get hurt or doesn't live up to expectations you have a guy in Bridgewater who is an excellent football player that can step in and be the face of the franchise. Teddy is by far the #1 QB in this draft IMO.

So, let's hope Teddy slips big time!

I see your point, but personally I would much rather use our pick in round 2 on something that makes us better right away. And with the depth of this draft it should be possible to find a potential starter on a position in need in round 2. That would make us instantly better. If Bradford plays bad this year and we need to find a new solution then we will probably also have a high draft pick next year (Bradford playing bad = many lost games) and then we can take a QB.

But I think we are only a few players away from being a playoff candidate, and none of them are QB's.

You're right; his slip into round 2 is ridiculous. Way, way too much is being put into this guy's pro day. He received some bad advice and made some bad decisions (I mean who hires Chad Weinke to be your mechanics coach??) in his preparation for his pro day. But look at his body of work. He is the most accurate QB in this draft.

Having said that, I still don't want to spend a 2nd round pick on a QB.

Small hands? I'd not heard that. Small hands are a big problem, no pun intended. See Banks, Tony.

Not a fan of using a pick on a QB higher then rd 3, rd 4 really. I feel next yr is going to be a QB year if Bradford fails, gets hurt again, etc. I don't see it this yr.

As I've said before, I would only consider taking a QB in Round 2 if we obtain an extra pick in the round.

Waste of a 2nd round pick - He will be a big time bust.

Personally, I hope he goes #2 to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
    Oh yeah, I went there.
And then I hope Manziel goes #3 to the Cleveland Browns.

Could you imagine if that happened and Houston ended up taking Bortles. We could trade all the way down to 8 and still get one of the elite 5. I think I would be okay with that :-)

Are you hoping that the Rams let the clock expire? There is absolutely no feasible reason why the Jags would trade up one spot to take Bridgewater.
