Reported by the Denver Post. This is the second time I've seen it reported that Trufant may be looking for something that surpasses last year's Clements deal. If that's what he's looking for, I have no interest in seeing the Rams pay it.Quote:

why, IMO Samuels and Asomugauah (or however you spell it the guy on the raiders) are better players than him and I think Trufaunt will flunk out of Seattle's system. He will get a big contract then disapear like Nate Clements
I think a major reason for Nate Clemts disappearance was the 9ers lack of a pass rush...just as Trufant's resurgance can be attributable to Seattle's front four's major improvement (Thank you, Patrick Kerney :x) Even Bailey and Bly didn't look great this year. Denver had squat for a front four.
What this is leading me to conclude is that without a solid pass rush, you can have the most talented corners in the world, and still not have them be effective. You can't give the quarterbacks in this league all day to throw. It's for this reason that I'd more like us to throw tons of money at Justin Smith or Jared Allen, pending their testing of the UFA waters.
When it comes time to get Bailey resigned, he's gonna be the only one on the team. These guys are making crazy amounts of money, Champ's a head above them.
