If the following players were on the board at #16, who would you take.

Assume that all of the players listed in the poll are available at #16.

    Who would be your pick?

Please stay within the confines of the hypothetical. Don't respond with... "_______ won't be there at #16" or "I'd take __________ instead."

My choice, which should come as no surprise, is Warmack. I think he is an elite prospect who would help make the skill players on offense better by giving them bigger holes to run through and more time to get open/throw.

Patterson would be next on my list, though he's neck-and-neck with Austin at this point for me.

Allen has fallen back a bit, but could get more consideration if his 4/9 workout goes well.

Warmack vs Austin vs Patterson for me. So hard to decide. Do I go with the "safe" and elite prospect in Warmack? Do I take the playmaking ability of Austin? Do I go for the potential with Patterson?

I honestly think at the end of the day for me its Patterson vs Warmack, and as of right now, I'll give it to Patterson (there are good OG's leftover - Warford in rd 2 for example).

I think Chance is the best guard but I like Patterson in this scenario. Then I'd hope Cooper is there at 22 or maybe someone in round 2.

The war is won in the trenches. We need award winning blue ribbon hogs up front. No need for the injured & weak lil piglets that have occupied the front line for the past 5-6 years If Warmack is there, then without hesitation he should be our pick.

Patterson's lack of productivity worries me but he's a freakishly elite physical tool. He and Austin are different but equally intriguing for different reasons.

I'd be fine with many of them.

I'm not sold on a single prospect this year - love the depth at a lot of positions. I chose Patterson, not arguing he's better than another pick. Giddy that the Rams are in a position to take so many different routes because they finally aren't filling massive holes. Even safety which is a hole can be filled with a quality prospect in round 3.

Personally I'd love any of the guards or receivers you've listed. But, I think a good starting guard can be found in round 2 (Warford, Long, Frederick), but a playmaking wide receiver cannot. I chose Austin over Patterson (I think Allen will be around at 22) but that was close to coin flip, both add a needed element to this offense. Either way I think offense should be addressed with the first pick at least and perhaps the pick at 22 too.

I had to think there for a minute given that Sheldon Richardson was available too, but even if Richardson was rated as an equal talent, I believe Warmack should be the choice.

Well for me, with my flair for teams like the '99 Rams, give me Tavon Austin all day, every day!

Then hope that Cooper is there at 22, if not, Long or Warford in the second or 3rd round. Because contrary to popular belief on this board, that's how we built our only superbowl champion. With superior playmakers, a LT and a bunch of late round linemen that meshed well together.

IMO, Warmack. Best combination of value and need.

But to be honest, I would be pretty happy with most of those names @ 16. Not all, but most.

It will be interesting to see if the current voting trend - all the votes going to three prospects - continues.

Patterson for me. I like Austin a lot but Patterson is just a beast. Warmack will do great things, but i think a later guard can be just as effective. Richardson is hard to pass up, would probably give us the most complete D-line in the league.

For me it has to be who Mike Mayock referred to as the best prospect in the draft.....Chance Warmack.

Re: If the following players were on the board at #16, who would you take.

I went with Sheldon Richardson. We already have our pocket - pusher in Brockers now we get a penetrator to play next to him. If the enemy doubles Brockers, then S. Rich is singled up; if they double S. Rich then Brockers is singled. It will be a great situation for the Rams either way....
Besides I am not at all convinced that Langford will ever be that kind of player....and I don't want to pass on a S. Rich and find out later that Langford was a JAG.

I remember in the GSOT days the havoc that D'Marco Farr wreaked with his ability to shoot gaps and disrupt the timing of the offense. The Rams haven't had a player like that in years, this will be our chance to rectify this situation.

A guy of his size and athleticism will always command a premium in every draft.

If he is there I am sprinting to the podium!!

    WHAT SAY YE?
