I would want Jennings. It adds some experience and reliability to an inexperienced and iffy group of receivers. I also really want to root for him to put the team on his back doe and I really want to get this jersey.

Still some good options at OT... keep going there. Vollmer is an interesting choice... I'm surprised that he's not getting more attention. Winston is right on that same level... I'd love him as a RT to pair with Dahl.
    I believe!

    Go get Vollmer.
    Draft Warmack/Cooper (if available).
See how Saffold does this season. If he excels sign him long term, if not sign/draft his replacement next season.

    Easy peasy.

Go after Vollmer. Allows us flexibility as he can play left and right tackle. I also think he might be willing to leave the patriots after he saw how wes welker was just treated.

Option #1 for me since January has always been, and has always remained signing Greg Jennings. So, if we are unable to lock up Long I would obviously move all my hopes to getting in touch with the guy who can score an 80 yard td with a broken leg.

Not too sure about Jennings wanting to come to a team that is so young... But signing Volmer would be sweet, as I loved what Dr. D pointed out that he has versatility! And also nice to snatch one from the Patsy's... Lets see how fast Tommy Terrific can run!!! LOL

I would rather the Rams save the cap room and go after a right tackle either Vollmer or Winston, although wouldn't argue against Andre Smith

Try for Vollmer. Outstanding RT, and no distraction of having to move Saffold.

Volmer makes the most sense to me. If we could lock him up that would give us a lot of flexibility on draft day. I hope the Rams don't wait on Long too much longer.

If Long wants to play this game we don't got all the time in the world. Bring in the next guy for a visit, it'll put pressure on Long just like he's doing to us. Have the intentions of signing the new guy... Move on. You just had him there for 3 days, gave him a prostate exam, and gave him an offer he thought he could beat elsewhere. Maybe he'd come back, but do we have that time? Apparently there are "multiple teams" interested.. That could take a week or longer, and by then most of FA's would be gone and we'd be left with 13+ million to do what?

Agreed. I also don't want the Rams to get involved with a bidding war with a team as dumb as the Dolphins.

Vollmer, Leaves us free to grab one of the top Guards in the draft rather than settling for the 3rd or 4th best Tackle.

Im sure teams are waiting to see what Jake Long gets and the rest should be signed up shortly there after. I'd assume that the Rams have already been in contact with the likes of Vollmer and the rest of them. I'd love Vollmer at 7-8 million (If Long signs for 10+) , hefty i know, but teams are going to pay him like a LT and play him there. I dont think teams can offer RT contracts and expect to sign him. Leaves Saffold as the RT and backup LT.

Re: If Jake Long does not sign, what is Plan B?

Isn't Jake Long Plan B? I mean 4 years ago it was the majority of the board that said to draft that POS Jason Smith over Crabtree (when I essentially was the one voice of foresight on here). I said then it takes WR 2-3 to develop in the NFL and OT was essentially plug and play. I've always maintained that we needed to go WR first, then OT. I also said 3 yrs ago it was in their best interests to trade Jackson since the team wasn't going anywhere and we could've gotten a good return on him. Now lost Jackson and got nothing for him, except his salary off the books. SMH. I always said Billy D was an idiot that didn't see things off in the distant. Turns out, I was very right. That said, I have full faith in Les and Jeff so why worry. Sit back and drink a beer man. We are way past Plan B LMAO. Need an WR, OLB, S THEN OL. But hey, atleast Fischer is smart and doesn't draft OL with early picks. Jason Smith, really...what were you guys smoking when you agreed with that pick.
