After viewing more highlights, I believe if given the choice, Fisher would take Austin over any O-lineman available at 16, and I believe he'd be smart to do so. I see Austin as a more multi-demensional version of Chris Johnson. As I am sure Fisher does too.

The O-linemen in this draft are good, but despite the hype, none of them are once in a decade type players IMO. I believe they are in every draft.

Another thing working in Austin's favor is the fact that the O-linemen are plentiful in this particular draft. And a good one can be had in the later rounds.

However, I can't say the same for Austin. I believe Austin is much harder to find than any O-lineman in this draft, including Joeckel or Chance Warmack. Or at least an adequate version of them.

At the same time, teams have won Super Bowls without these super-dynamic players, whereas teams with them(Vikings, Titans, Bills, even Green Bay with Cobb) have not gone far in the playoffs even if they make them at all.

A solid offensive line can make an offense flow with moderate talent catching the ball. A playmaker can make an offense flow, but needs his QB to be upright to get him the ball in the first place.
    I believe!

This may be true, but I'll put my less than great line and great playmakers (GSOT), up against your great line and less than great playmakers any day (80's Rams).

isn't using the GSOT as a comparison cheating anyway? lol
