If Price is Right, Rams Will SIgn WR Mario Manningham
"According to the New York Post, the Rams are currently working out the parameters of a contract for free agent WR Mario Manningham.
Manningham has received an unexpectedly soft market, but remains a prime candidate to get overpaid in free agency. The Rams currently have Brandon Gibson slotted as their top receiver and likely won't let Manningham out of town without an agreement."
Jim Thomas has also said something to that effect. If the Rams can get him for 3 years 15 million (or less) it would be a great deal. His soft market only helps the cause. Get it done Rams.

I think Manningham would make a strong #2, but we would likely still be in the market for Blackmon if we get the chance.

Re: If Price is Right, Rams Will SIgn WR Mario Manningham
Manningham is a solid #2 receiver, but I don't see #1 potential there and I hope the Rams don't pay him as if they do. The line from Rotoworld, "but remains a prime candidate to get overpaid in free agency," makes me nervous.
So far, I've liked what the Rams have done contract-wise with the players they've signed, so I hope Manningham's is under control as well. $4-5 million annually would be more than enough IMO, but that might not be enough to make him skip a visit with the Dolphins.

Re: If Price is Right, Rams Will SIgn WR Mario Manningham
I don't want Rams to overpay for a free agent WR.
The only two WR's remaing that I would like Rams to sign is Mario Manningham or Early Duecett.
Both WR's are young and have potential. Give them there shot to become stars. Not stars of the League yet but have potentail. The Rams will have to find a star WR in the Draft. All the big name WR's were snatched up.

please sign Manningham and Blackmon. I could not be happier if Rams get both of these things done. We'd go from the worst receiving corps to one with the potential to be one of the best.

What nick said, as long as its under 5 mill. And after we sign him we treat him as a #2 and we still try 150% to get a #1 receiver, then I'm fine with it.
