If the Rams pick from the #4 spot
IF there is a trade it seems that it would be with Washington.
The most talked about trade if #1 pick for Campbell, Haynesworth, and #4 pick...(that's the meat of the trade).
IF we were picking 4th what do you think the Rams would should do?
Do we go QB ? DE? OT ? This opens a whole new can of worms.
Obviously people will want to trade down again from the 4th pick.....but lets assume we are picking 4th ., whats our best strategy

Re: If the Rams pick from the #4 spot
I wouldn't touch that trade with the proverbial bargepole: Campbell's average, while Haynesworth isn't exactly the type of guy you'd want in the locker room.

Re: If the Rams pick from the #4 spot
I know there are a few people that would lick their chops at this trade offer, but let's be real for a second...we're doing the Redskins a favor! We're taking out their trash with this trade. They don't want/need Campbell he'd be wasted roster space, and they can't make Haynesworth comply with the game plan so he's wasted space too.
If they powers that be swung for it though, I'd say take Berry. DT would be a moot point as I think Haynesworth and Ryan would be a pretty solid duo; one of the tackles would be a huge amount of money for a RT which is foolish; Claussen wouldn't make much sense unless we planned on cutting/trading Campbell a year or so down the line. Take a play maker that I believe can shift anywhere in the defensive backfield.

Re: If the Rams pick from the #4 spot
If I'm Bill Devaney, here's my email to the Redskins:
Re: Trade for the First Pick
If you really want to trade up, we will require the following as compensation:
1. Your first pick (#4);
2. Albert Haynesworth (and we will not provide any $ to cover any portion of the bonus you recently paid to him);
3. Laron Landry
4. Your first pick in 2011.Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-22-2010 at 11:37 AM.

Re: If the Rams pick from the #4 spot
Well, if we made my trade (and I fixed it - #4 should have read "first pick in 2011."), then I go one of two ways:
1. Use the #4 pick on the BPA who, assuming Suh and G.McCoy are gone, would be C.J. Spiller in my opinion, and then try to get Colt McCoy later; or
2. Go with Jimmy Clausen at #4 (which is much higher than I have him ranked) and use the #33 pick on a WR, TE or RB.

Its possible that Detroit or Tampa could go with an OT, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Re: If the Rams pick from the #4 spot
I dont dispute that spiller might be the best player available, but i couldnt imagine using a top pick on a backup for jackson. This team has a ton of holes. Running back is not one of them. You dont use a top pick on a backup or rotation guy in my opinion.
If we made a deal for the #4, i would probably take erik berry.
THe question is would you take the #4, plus mcnabb and their #1 next year.. I think i might do that deal.
