If we lost Curtis
Would you trade the 11th and 31st first round pick to move up and get Hawk?
Hmmm

No no! I would not! I'd select JDub with #11 and Carpenter with #31!

Re: If we lost Curtis
My 1st inclination is to say "YES". I know having 2 1st round picks is great. The #11 pick is ok, but 31 is marginal. You're also then paying 2 1st rounders which is kind of scary.
Of course, draft picks are always a gamble. Who knows how any of these guys will perform at the next level. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

Re: If we lost Curtis
no way i'd trade up...not in this top heavy draft...
why settle on one elite prospect with no guarantees, when you can potentially find two very good prospects to groom...

I think I'd be tempted to do it. Theoretically, the #11 and #31 will get you the #4 (assuming there's a trade partner). That should be high enough to get either Hawk or Williams.

I would make that trade, Tino, Spoon and Hawk. I would make that trade in a second. We would lose some production on offense but we would be set at LB for a while. I don’t see Hawk being a bust. And we would still have our second round pick to upgrade the D even more with a DE, DT, CB or grab a WR to replace Curtis. Done deal for me.
