If you had one Blackball, who would you use it on?

If you had one Blackball to assign to one player to ensure that the Rams do not select him, who would you use it on?

If it's a 1st round Blackball, then Andre Smith.

    If it's a 1st & 2nd round Blackball, Michael Johnson.

If it's a "get off my lawn" Blackball, Alex Boone.

Re: If you had one Blackball, who would you use it on?

    I picked johnson because.
    I would be happy with
Andre Smith if we traded down in the first
    Percy Harvin in the 2nd.
Or Rhett Bomar in the 4th or 5th
Michael Johnson has talent concerns not character concerns
I think we have enough character guys on our team that we can bring in someone with "charcacter concerns" and still be fine.
We are actually tied for the least arrests by any team in the league since 2000.
Obviously, Devaney and crew don't agree with me on that front.
It looks like we won't target any of them anyways, due to their concerns of character.

    other:

Alphonso Smith. Rams already got enough itty bitty height restricted no 'E ride' riding corners

Honestly, I'm not that concerned about Andre Smith. I think he'll be a good player - maybe not at left tackle - but he'd be an excellent right tackle and swingman at guard.

I went with Michael Johnson. Josh Freeman was a close second.

This question isn't even fair. Michael Johnson in the second round could prove to be the steal of the draft. Avenger Ram you really let me down on this one...

    I went with Andre Smith.

The only thing I want to see bouncing around on the field is a fumble by the opposition.

    Micheal Johnson!!!!!!!!

he only comes on passing downs and is about 6-7 but really skinny and i doubt he can put a move on NFL OTs

Andre Smith will be the best run blocking OT in this class

Johnson has physical tools that are as good as any player in the draft, which is why people are wondering why his production in college (49 games, 17 sacks) was so pedestrian. I think he's on a lot of "bust" lists. If the Rams took him in Round 2, I would be concerned that they wasted a pick.

Probably Michael Johnson. Maybe Derrick Williams, the WR from Penn State.

Josh Freeman, no doubt! If we somehow take him in the second round, I'll cause physical harm to myself!

Re: If you had one Blackball, who would you use it on?

Mine would be Crabtree. Average height, not very good speed, not sure about his attitude, only a sophmore WR, only played two season, did not play in an NFL style offense, health concerns. IMO I don't think he will live up to the hype when facing NFL caliber DB's. I think he could become a solid starting WR but not a great one IMO. I think there are several WRs that could become a better WR then him.

I would rather take any of the following:
    Curry
    J. Smith
    Monroe
    Sanchez

Any first, or even second round quarterback. We have too much money tied up in Bulger to take a QB that high yet, especially when there are so many other holes on the team. Bulger can be a pro bowl player, he just need to have a team around him to do so.

Crabtree may not live up to the hype about him, but this thread isn't about who you wouldn't want the Rams to draft with their 1st pick. It's which guy, out of all the draft candidates out there that give you the eeby-geeby's as a GM and you wouldn't waste a pick on them. By your argument (ie. "solid starting receiver"), sounds like Crabtree would be a stellar pick in the 3rd or 4th round.

Are you saying you wouldn't pick Crabtree in any of the rounds? What's a player you would not take in any of the rounds, because he doesn't fit the Rams needs or because of some other concern about character or ability?
