    Michael Crabtree for me. There are just better ways for us to go in the first round, IMO.

    Wow, people still don't get this thread?

    Bar-bq ; "Michael Crabtree for me. There are just better ways for us to go in the first round, IMO. "

    Once again, this is not about the #2 pick in the draft. This is ENTIRELY, as in, NEVER DRAFT, no matter what!

    I think this list is probably comprised of characters whom don't deserve the title, other than a person or so, they are mostly very high praised and gifted atheletes. As for my choice, it might be odd, but Shawne Green from Iowa (or however you spell his name). He has had an interesting and odd path to success, and I do not think his talent projects well onto the NFL scene. I think he benefitted from some under-rated blocking, and just got plain lucky with the fact that Iowa had no other options.

    I think what creeps me out, is that he was awarded Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year, and I think that is a red herring. I think there were many better players, and just don't see him being anything special in the next step. He might make a quality "backup" for someone, but I don't pick running backs who are from the get-go backups. I want a back who can translate into an eventual starter or split carry back that can take the full load in a bad situation.

    I just don't see it, and some "specialists" are saying we might pick up a RB in round 2. This is doubtful by me, unless one of the "2" drop down that far. Other than that, I picture the opposite of round 1 (If round 1 = LB, then OT. If round 1 = OT, then LB.)

    So, seeing a RB in that situation just to me, appears like a mistake, and to throw in a guy that I find questionable, and with limited proof of legitimacy, I think I would throw my money elsewhere.

    As I stand, if you can't get a Running back of good quality in the first 2 rounds, don't touch them. I dont want him in round 2, so I say don't touch him.

    Are you referring to MLB or OLB? If it's MLB, which MLB's would you consider taking in the second round?

    IMO Johnson is hands off period, too light for the NFL.

    In reference to my post, I would say, if we draft a linebacker in round;

    1) It has to be Aaron Curry
    2) James Laurinaitis, if he even falls that far. Aside from this, I think if we don't get a linebacker by this point, than all we could do is add some "depth" later in the draft. None of the other linebackers are going to be impact or "solid" guys for years.

    Other: Aaron Maybin

    IMO he is gonna be a huge bust. He's rather light and seems to only use a speed rush. He came out as a redshirt sophomore and although he did lead the Big ten in sacks, so did vhernon gholston. I just don't think he will be good at all

    I voted "other". Taking any QB in the first round would be a blackball from me.

    We have enough problems-a number of them specifically clouding Bulger's future- without creating a QB controversy this year.

    I was going with Smith. Although I think he is good at what he does. I don't want a Cogs type guy again.

    Harvin I am very dissappointed in. His talent is incredible, but to be getting caught like this... shameful. I think he would be worse then Smith.
