Interactive ClanRam Mock Draft
Well, it appears our attempt to get a GM for each team and hold a mock like that has failed, so I thought perhaps something a bit more simple might work.
Here's what we'll do...
I will post a first round list of teams and their draft positions, and each person will pick whom they think teams will draft. But it goes team by team, one at a time, and the pick isn't secured as the official selection until it acquires five votes. Once that happens, we move on to the next team and start for them.
So for example, the ***** are first on the list. I would make a response saying who I think the ***** will draft. In this example, let's say I vote for Aaron Rodgers. This would be the first vote for Rodgers, so my response reads something like...
"Aaron Rodgers - 1"
Then, let's say Avenger responds after me and votes for Rodgers as well (putting it in a similar format as I did so we know who has been voted for and how many votes they have). That's two votes for Rodgers. Now let's say HUbison responds but votes for Alex Smith. That gives Rodgers two votes and Alex Smith one vote. Whenever one player gets five votes, then the player is officially picked by the *****, and we move on to Miami.
The restriction I'm going to set on posting is this - a poster may not make more than one vote per team. I cannot respond saying I vote for Rodgers for the *****, and then respond again voting for Rodgers, and continue doing so until the ***** have him. Only one vote per team, and hopefully we get enough people voting so that it keeps moving. But if it doesn't, and for some reason 24 hours have gone by since your last vote and the same team has yet to make a pick, you may then vote again.
Remember, EVERYONE can vote on which player they think a team will take. Just remember (1) to only vote for the team that's currently selecting, (2) only vote once per team unless 24 hours has passed since your last pick, and (3) try to be as realistic as possible in who you think a team will pick based on their needs.
Sound simple enough? Well then, let's get started. Here's the first round draft position, and San Francisco is officially on the clock.
1. San Francisco -- Aaron Rodgers, QB, California
2. Miami -- Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn
3. Cleveland -- Alex Smith, QB, Utah
4. Chicago -- Derrick Johnson, LB, Texas

P.S. Nick, this is quite innovative. Kudos, my man."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Interactive ClanRam Mock Draft
IMO the top two QBs are quite evenly matched, but i concur that the ***** will select Rodgers who is better suited to the West-Coast offense.

Re: Interactive ClanRam Mock Draft
It's official - the San Francisco ***** will take QB Aaron Rodgers.
Up next is the Miami Dolphins, and I'm voting Ronnie Brown.
Also, just a head's up... once a player gets his fifth vote, the person posting that fifth vote can go ahead and start the voting for the next team. Or, if they don't, anyone who notices that five votes have been acquired can start voting for the next team in a new reponse. You don't have to wait for me to kick off another team, just keep the voting going.Last edited by Nick; -03-31-2005 at 09:31 AM.

Re: Interactive ClanRam Mock Draft
Ronnie Brown (4) is who the Dolphins will take since Ricky Williams still loves the sticky icky.

Re: Interactive ClanRam Mock Draft
With a rookie head coach, I think Miami goes the "safe" route and takes Cerdic Benson - 3.
