Who would want to tackle Branch? If Sean Taylor ran away from Jackson, what would he do when faced with Branch?
No wonder opposition special teamers let him run those punts back

Since it came up, has there ever been a Defensive lineman return a punt or a kick in the NFL?

Look at it this way. At least he wont run backwards on punt returns like mcdonald did more than half the time. If he can just catch the ball and plow straight ahead, he should be capable of knocking some guys down, although i doubt he will resemble the great johnny rodgers in the open field.
