Seems like everyone's numbers are a bit better at their pro day. Wonder what their track is like.

When multiple guys run faster at a school, that's usually an indication of the surface playing an effect. Both Greenway and Hodge ran anywhere from 0.1 to 0.17 seconds faster at their pro day.

Some scouts even had Greenway running a mid 4.4 on his first sprint, before a minor pull in his hammy on his second run [4.6]. This goes to show how deceptive 40 times can be, with a split-second depending on a simple thing like what shoes/cleats the athelete knows is best for the turf.

Every surface is different and it seems the surface in INDY at the combine is slower. The idea was the all the athletes would be running on the same surface at the combine, but agents came up with the idea of withholding their clients. Now, they pick and choose what they'll do and what they won't regularly.

Vince Young ran a 4.57 at his pro day. Now, watch you'll hear the media saying he runs a 4.2 for the next 5 years. That's how it goes.. The scouts are almost refreshing because they want the truth to guage one player's abilities against anothers. True competition.

A lot of players at Indy said the turf is very fast.
