FWIW, I sure didn't see a No. 1 WR there.
The problem is, Jones may get a No. 1 WR contract... hopefully not from the Rams.

On paper he looks the part. Good size, strong, but them hands are not to be relied on. Definitely not even a 2 in my book. I thought he may have been a option for the Rams going into the offseason but not now. NO WAY. What was telling to me was even after Nelson had been dropping the ball, left, right and centre. The Pack still stayed with Nelson rather than throw to Jones.
By the looks on the faces of the Packer player's, after Jones had dropped a perfectly thrown ball. I could tell they were really pissed with Jones. I think he has been doing it all season. He is not a natural pass catcher, end off story. Ill take hands over speed, thank you very much.
This guy is a #3 WR. He is like a M. Manningham type. Good athleticism but can't be depended on for routes and hands. I hope he never comes anywhere close to being a Ram.
He is terrible. He makes a great play, and then the next he drops a perfect pass that could go for a huge TD. There is no way DeSpags go after this guy.
The problem is that he has all the potential and athleticism in the world, he just can't put it all together. Sometimes you can blame it on the quarterback... like with Fitzgerald this year. But with Jones, you absolutely can't. Rodgers puts the ball right on the money 90% of the time and simply put, Jones just hasn't worked enough on catching the ball. That's what it comes down to. It's either that, or he gets scared of the moment. Either way, I don't want him wearing horns. There are plenty of teams who will look long and hard at Jones, because they need an upgrade at receiver; I just hope we're not one of them. I don't, nor ever could, trust him in the clutch.
He was anything but dependable yesterday and he's had some crucial drops throughout the playoffs. I really don't this he's done himself any favours this post-season, and I certainly can't see him landing as large a contract as he'd be expecting.
We already have him on our team, his name is Brandon Gibson.
