James Laurinituis
I have seen a decent amount of mock drafts lately saying he will fall to round 2. Can anyone explain why this is? I thought for sure he would go in the top 15-20.

Re: James Laurinituis
I have to agree with you. I don't see him slipping past the first round. Now if he does, we NEED to get him, but don't even think about getting excited on that one...

Devaney, if you care about this team... fire the offensive coordinator!!!!

Re: James Laurinituis
If he indeed slipped to us in the second round, I would take him over Mckillop. If he's not there though, Mckillop would be a good pick too. Or we could always go the o-line path.

Re: James Laurinituis
I don't think there's any chance of him slipping into round two. Just a lot of down time until the draft, and people over analyzing EVERYTHING.

its happened before LBs always are the most productive, but always slip. Look at Paul Puslusny and Dan Conner also stellar big ten Lbs who slipped.

James Laurinaitis will not make it into the "twenties"......In my mock, I have the New Orleans Saints taking him at #14 overall. I doubt that the Falcons would pass on Laurinaitis at #25 overall.....
I agree with all of you - no way does he fall into 2nd round - he will be LONG GONE!

He won't fall. He'll be a top fifteen pick.

Don't Forget Lofa Tatupu. I think it depends on the need of MLB in the 1st. If for some reason he ends up in the second round, I'd draft him in a heartbeat, and that also goes for Brandon Spikes. Who had a great game against OU. No matter who we draft, I don't think we could go wrong at all this year.

Don't forget DeMeco Ryans either.
This is true. Legitimately, there are 4 MLBs that could go in the first. The first two are almost locks in Maualuga and Laurinitis and you can add to that mix Scott McKillop, MLB, Pittsburgh and Darryl Beckwith, MLB, LSU, who could worm their way into the bottom of round one with stellar workouts.

The Lions, Rams, Cheifs, Bengals and Raiders all could be in the market. Outside the top 10, the Patriots, Saints and Broncos all make sense and the Jags and Dolphins could be looking for their next starter in the draft due to Mike Peterson and Channing Crowder hitting the free agent market.

Re: James Laurinituis
Yep. Lofa was projected to go in the fourth i recall? Too bad the Hawks had to make a great intelligent reach to grab him.

Scott Mckillop reminds me of Lofa. They're both projected to go in the mid rounds. They're both tackling machines, and smart linebackers who can read the defense.
Bar-bq, don't forget Brandon Spikes. I feel as though he's also a first round lock. But maybe teams will pass him and look for linebackers in the FA as you stated.

Re: James Laurinituis
look guys...I know its fun to try to predict who will go where and such...
but you can't truly do anything until after the combine....
NFL combine is mid-Feb.
then you will see guys move up and down and can predict more from them....
