And if you do, there may not be a present.

The truth is EVERY team drafts for the future. However, in today's game, your draft picks better be contributing ASAP.

The draft is the ultimate lottery. There are more Tony Mandarich's than there are Peyton Manning's.

Well, the year they were drafted, the Rams went 14-2 that season, and went to the Super Bowl with a top ten defense. *shrugs*

I think teams like Dallas (Ware), San Diego (Merriman), Washington (Taylor), and Pittsburgh (Polamalu) would tell you that there's just as much chance of taking a defender with the hopes of him making an immediate impact on your team and it working out that way.

I agree with this strategy. If Bulger in Linehan's offense just can't stay healthy or can't get it done, there should be a number of good 2007 QB prospects the Rams could look at in various rounds of the draft - Brady Quinn (if we really tank), Drew Stanton, Jordan Palmer, Troy Smith, Chris Leak, Sam Keller, Drew Tate. I think we should cross that bridge when we come to it rather than trying to cross it before it may even be a problem.

and........he beat the Vols in Knoxville!
Although I enjoyed listening to that on the radio, lket's be honest. Tennessee wasnt even playing when that game rolled around. I dont even know if Phil Fulmer walked away from the buffet table long enough to coach that game.

Cutler is good, but he is seriously being overrated. He's not quite Dan Marino just yet. He still has a lot he needs to work on in terms of touch and accuracy.

And yes, he would be a horrible selection. He's going to sit on the bench for at least 3-4 years. It wont happen. Cutler will not be a Ram
The Roman and The Prince. Playmakers until the end.

The kid led the 'Dors to a win over the Vols in Knoxville. Let's not pretend like that isn't a big deal.
