Jernigan from FSU to enter draft

Per ESPN, stud defensive tackle Tim Jernigan from FSU is entering the draft. I thought he was sensational in the BCS title game and was impressed with him during the year as well.

Thoughts as it relates to the rams?

    Love him at pick #44.

Might like him a lot at a pick (obtained through a trade) between #25-43.

Not sure that he'll last that long, if not for an injury last year he was slated to go in the 1st Rd. grade. He should grade out right near or higher than Nix.

Could be a good option if we trade down from #13

Did he play well against Auburn? Can't really remember seeing his name too much. I remember more of him being gassed and having to sit out on the sideline.

In my opinion, he was the best player on the field in the bcs title game. He was completely unblockable in the second half and shut down auburn's running game up the middle almost single handedly. When he wasnt making the tackle, he was taking up two to three blockers. When he ran out of gas and had to leave the game, auburn went 80 yards on the ground for the go ahead td. He was absolutely dominant.

He made some plays, but Mason tore them up for 4 quarters.

Not to get off topic, but i think auburn lost in material part (fake punt aside which killed them) because they couldnt run the ball in the third quarter and early part of the 4th quarter, which was a big part of what let florida state get back into the game. Auburn didnt throw well to convert once they got into 3rd and long in the 3rd quarter and early 4th and their runs up the middle lost effectiveness, which led to the auburn defense tiring out. I think Jerrigan was a big part of that.
