Jim Thomas said on his twitter that the Rams will be hosting WR Jerome Simpson (From the Bengals) will be visiting the Rams tonight. This in my opinion would be a solid addition. The only negative, he has a court order on Thursday for marijuana.

He could be facing a suspension, given that he has plead guilty to drug (marijuana) charges.
Survey says...
Meh.
Simpson broke out last year with 50 receptions, 725 yards, 14.5 average, and 4 touchdowns. He is a nice deep threat, he's got deceptive speed. Extremely long strides, he is a big player at 6'2 190 lbs. Only 26 years old he still has a lot potential.
I really like Simpson. I think if he was added, he'd be our starter on the outside across from whoever else we draft or trade for.
He won't be a starter for anyone if he's suspended.
Would be a solid signing, pending suspension length.
Hmmm...I wonder if this means the Rams are high on this guy.
It would be a 2-4 game suspension right ?
In my view, this is a matter of price. If he is cheap enough, this would be a terrific pickup. I think we should assume a 4 game suspension. However, i am of the view that the rams rebuilding process is not going to be impacted by four games. On the other hand, at age 26, coming off a breakout season, he has tons of upside. If he learns to clean up his act, he could be exactly what we need. If he gets caught again, no one will be shocked, but that is my point about the price. I think this could be an excellent risk reward signing. The four pillars are not interesting to me at this point, talent at position of long term need is very interesting. A great chance to get a player in his prime at a discount, albeit with an assumption that short term loss and patience is required.
Plus, other than Av, who else do we know that can do that type of flip into the end zone? That alone could make him worth it!
ramming speed to all

I believe Jerome Simpson is an upgrade to the team, and definitely keeps the team in line, with improving the talent level. Which is the bottom line when building a team. Obviously, its never ideal bringing in someone who is likely to misbehave. But Jeff Fisher's speciality is working with difficult players, so Ill trust that Fisher knows exactly what he is doing here.!
Looks good to me, sign him up. He obviously has the skillset to be a huge addition to this team, just a matter of keeping his off-the-field life in order.
I'm sure any contract offerered would include clauses preventing this from becoming a fiasco for the Rams.
IMO, this is an example of why the previous staff failed miserably. Jerome Simpson would not even be considered no matter what the price, with the old regime. Thank goodness they are gone, because football is not a choir boy sport.
I'm not worried about whether a player is a choir boy or not. I am worried about whether he'll be available to play.
At some point, I'd like to see us address the position with a player we don't seem to be taking a gamble on, be it past injuries, drug charges, etc. But then again, there isn't really a sure bet in draft/free agency...
What was I talking about?
