INDIANAPOLIS _ I officially have a Bryan Burwell-size man-crush on Aaron Curry, the linebacker from Wake Forest. On Saturday, he produced one of the best interviews in years at the NFL Scouting Combine. He oozed charisma, and the guy can play. Looking for a face of the franchise, Rams? Well. . . . .

Marshall Faulk is here breaking down the running backs and linebackers for NFL Network. . . .Marshall Klein, the longtime aide to late Rams owner Georgia Frontiere, is back with the organization, and was at the combine interviewing candidates to replace retiring Page Ranking director Rick Smith. . . .Jim Haslett may be sitting out 2009 as a coach. He did not attend the combine, spending the weekend at home with his family in Clayton. Supposedly, Kansas City had some interest in hiring him for _ get this _ its special teams coach . . .Most Rams free-agent speculation at the center position has concentrated on Matt Birk of Minnesota and Jason Brown of Baltimore. Another possibility is Indianaplis center Jeff Saturday, who’s up there in age, but would bring instant leadership to the position . . . . Missouri (and Kirkwood High) wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is represented by St. Louis agent Jim Steiner. . . .Question of the hour at Combine: Where’s Andre Smith? He apparently left the combine early and was unimpressive in interviews . . . .Baylor’s Jason Smith did 33 reps in the bench press Saturday to only 23 by Virginia’s Eugene Monroe. But one scout’s rating of the Saturday workouts by the elite offensive tackles rated Monroe as No. 1; Jason Smith as No. 2; and Mississippi’s Michael Oher as No. 3. Andre Smith chose not to work out, again leading to more consternation from scouts. One scout’s assessment of Maclin: “He may be the best offensive player in the draft.”

I will take any center out of those 3 man just bring one of them in for sure you know. if we can somehow keep Pace we can have a solid core of o-lineman this season.
