Joe Staley
I thought I heard the 9ers released him? He would be a great addition if we could snatch him up. He was a first rounder last year and played well this season. But I'm not sure if this is true? Can anyone confirm?

No I haven't heard anything about that. That would make absolutely no sense, seeing as how they traded this year's first rounder (ended up being 7th overall) to get him in the first place.
Maybe you're thinking of offensive guard Justin Smiley, who is expected to hit the free agent market?
