Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
He has the arm, the skill and is fast rising in the QB ranks.
To me he is a younger and better Mcnab. With our new OC being
from the eagles in the past and Spags as well, I think we are going
draft him in second round...... If he makes it there?...
What do you think?

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
I think we have much bigger needs than to use a round 2 pick on a developmental qb or developmental anything for that matter.

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
I don't think it happens. I think he has "bust" written all over him and teams like Tampa and Minnesota will be put in positions (due to their present state at QB) where they're almost obliged to draft him.

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
I think Josh Freeman is an idiot! He should have stayed his senior year!
Im doubting his footwork and the ability to read defense. He also has mechanic problems. So he should have stayed his senior year and worked on all that.
Also i wont take him in the 2nd round too many other needs. However if available in the 3rd i say scoop him up.

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
Why is he an idiot if he is gonna get first round money? He didn't want to hang around Kansas State with the coaching change.
I think he made a great decision in leaving when his stock was at the highest, and at the time he declared Mark Sanchez still had a chance at staying in school so he could have been the #2 QB in this draft. He also avoided a tougher QB class next year with Bradford, Snead, McCoy, and Tebow.Last edited by iStillBelieve; -03-15-2009 at 08:20 PM.

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
The farthest he is falling is to our second round pick, so the real question is he a good second round pick, IMO no unless all the top WRs brace and Lauranatis are gone, but that seems highly unlikely

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
No way... Next years class is loaded with better QB's. Fill some holes this year and grab a franchise guy next season...

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
This kid is a bonehead. He's got tons of talent to be sure, but he doesn't work all that hard and makes a lot of mistakes. I'm biased because I went to Kansas University so I don't like many Wildcats, but I would've stood up for Sproles and I won't stand up for this kid. Pass.

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
They are loaded with QB's but I don't know if I would say they are better.
Tebow and McCoy are system QB's, I would not want either on my team.
I have huge doubts about Bradford too, he definitely has talent but I'm not sure if he has as much talent as his stats from college show since he was part of the greatest offense in NCAA history.
But I would much rather have Freeman than Tebow or Colt McCoy (does he ever attempt a pass more than 10-15 yards?).
So...
Stafford=Bradford
Sanchez>Tebow
Freeman>McCoy
Also I know absolutely nothing about Jevan Snead but I heard he is good if he declares next year.

Re: Josh Freeman #3 in second round?
Don't know much about Freeman other than he has a gun for an arm....so did Jeff George. Jevan Sneed played at Texas (or enrolled at Texas) and was beat out by Colt McCoy. Went to Ole Miss and put up good numbers. Rhett Bomar in the 4th Round is an intriguing prospect for me. Started at OU, got caught having a "job" and having "a beer" and was shuffled off to D II. However, Bomar was the starter over Sam Bradford when all this happened.
I will say this, the Rams draft this year may be the easiest for any front office outside of Detroit. There are so many holes to fill, it will be EXTREMELY hard to screw it up.
The only position that the Rams shouldn't consider drafting is K. Other than that, any position in any round would be ok with me.Last edited by txramsfan; -03-16-2009 at 08:22 PM.
