June 1st does it still exist?

Just wondering, I honestly am falling behind in my football knowledge. I remember last year with the new cap it was kind of non existent. I wasn't sure if that was a 1 year thing or if it's a lasting change in football free agency. However if there are June drops... any idea on who they may be??

To answer your question, yes, the June 1st transition is still in effect in the NFL. For those who don't know, June 1st is when you can cut a player and the cap hit for his signing bonus is prorated for this year and the rest is on NEXT year's cap. The issue is that teams are for the most part so good with the cap now a days that there are no major June 1st cap casualties because teams have enough cap room for their rookies. You'll still see a few people cut, who would have abnormally large cap hits, but you won't see anyone really good get dropped.

Does anybody have any prospects in mind for June 1? Of course we don't know who's going to be cut, but sheerly for the sake of speculation...who ya got?
